1955 Austin Healey BN1 £38,950
Upgraded to BN2 4 speed gearbox, front disc brakes and has the later 5 stud rear axle.
Previously owned by the late Mike McArthy, editor of Classic & Sportscar magazine, there are countless photos of the car in his ownership, including one of which there is a copy in the file. of it with Stirling Moss.
The Heritage certificate tells us that the car was supplied new to Germany, finished in Old English White which it was returned to during an extensive restoration which was started in 2013 and presumably at that time converted to right hand drive.
Our vendor, a long standing customer of ours, has owned it since 2017 and has invested in various improvements to the car whilst maintaining it to a very high standard. A full list of work accompanies the car but the highlights include an engine rebuild which took the standard output from around 80bhp to around 150bhp and as you can imagine, the car really moves.
The bodywork is excellent with great panel fit and paint, the interior wonderfully mellowed and there is both a quality mohair hood and tonneau cover. New Blockley tyres have been recently fitted.
Offering excellent value, the car is 'on the button' and ready to be enjoyed.
