You may have noticed that we’ve been a little quiet on here lately…
For the past 10 days, we’ve taken some much-needed time away from the business and headed off on a family adventure to France. 🇫🇷
We finished work at 6.30pm, set off at 8.30pm and headed towards Dover for the early morning ferry. After managing just an hour and a half of sleep at a service station just before Dover, we carried on our journey into France!
Our first stop was Bonnètable, La Prairie, which we found through Camping-Car Park for just €14 for the night. It was such a lovely place to stop, especially for the children, who absolutely loved the playground.
We have three young children, and this year in particular, we have poured absolutely everything into the business. Adam has been working incredibly long days, often missing the morning school runs and bedtime with the children. So, taking this time away together as a family felt more important than ever.
And for once, we truly switched off.
No calls. No emails. No business stresses. No thinking about what needed doing next.
Just us, together as a family, giving our three children our time, our attention and, most importantly, making memories that we hope they’ll remember for years to come.
Family time really is precious. As much as we absolutely love what we do and are incredibly passionate about our business, sometimes you need to take a step back, breathe, and remind yourself exactly why you work so hard.
These 10 days have been exactly what we needed, and we’re so grateful we took the time to do it.
