The Northern Loop: Market Towns & Sweeping Views
Duration: 1โ2 days
The Route:
Start in the medieval wool town of Chipping Campden (where you can stock up on local pies). Drive the B4632 to Broadway to climb the Broadway Tower for sweeping views over 16 counties. Continue to Stow-on-the-Wold for independent tea rooms and antique shops.
Campsites: Check out Hayles Fruit Farm Camping Site near Winchcombe, which sits right on the edge of the Cotswold Way.
The Central Circuit: Waterways & Classics
Duration: 1โ3 days
The Route: Known as the quintessential Cotswolds experience, start in Burford (the "Gateway to the Cotswolds") and head northeast. Follow the A429 to Bourton-on-the-Water (the "Venice of the Cotswolds"). Take the small detour down to Lower Slaughter for a peaceful riverside walk, then loop south to Bibury to photograph the iconic weaversโ cottages on Arlington Row.
Campsites: Cotswold Lakes Camping offers easy access to Cirencester and makes a fantastic base.
The Southern Route: Estates & Heritage
Duration: 1โ2 days
The Route:
Starting from Cirencester, follow the A433 to the Westonbirt National Arboretum for woodland walks. Continue toward Castle Combe, famously used as a film set and widely regarded as one of the prettiest villages in England.
Campsites: Book a pitch at Cotswold Farm Park (near Stow-on-the-Wold), which is highly rated for campervans and features excellent facilities
