Another vehicle fixed properly through correct diagnosis 👌

This local taxi came to us with an ABS fault after already visiting another garage. They had replaced two ABS sensors which didn’t solve the issue, and were then recommending a wheel bearing replacement — although apparently they “didn’t have the correct puller” 🙄

We carried out our own diagnostics from scratch.

After checking the live data while spinning the wheels freely on the ramp, we could immediately see it wasn’t a wheel bearing issue. We then confirmed the ABS sensor itself was also functioning correctly.

From there, we moved on to wiring continuity testing and quickly found an open circuit fault.

A visual inspection of the wiring loom revealed multiple damaged areas, along with corrosion where one of the wires had actually corroded completely through.

After repairing the damaged wiring loom and rechecking live data, all readings returned to normal and the fault was resolved — with ZERO parts required ✅

A great result from the lads and another reminder of the importance of proper diagnostics instead of firing the “parts cannon” at a problem and hoping for the best.

Diagnose first. Replace parts second.
