• I will distinguish myself from competitors by providing excellent and unrivalled customer service
• I will endeavour to arrive at the appointed lesson time at least 90% of the time or offer an apology

• I will state firm aims and objectives for the current lesson so the pupil is in no doubt as to the purpose of the lesson and what they are trying to achieve from the session.

🔥🔥🔥FIRST TIME TEST PASS- ONLY 3 FAULTS 💪💪💪

Congratulations to Tammy A from Bromley who passed her automatic driving test today 4th September 2026 FIRST TIME with only 3 driving faults!

Tammy came to me after doing lessons elsewhere for a while, but didn't feel she was progressing enough, or understood enough, about what she was trying to do. Tammy likes explanations so she can understand the 'why' something has to be done.

I also had taught her husband a few years ago, so we already had that knowledge of eachother which definitely helped.

Tammy made quick progress with me, and i was able to focus on the little wins she could make in her driving which could make a big difference to how the driving and the car 'felt'.

With a pressurised job, and a busy homelife, lots of my work was just trying to get her to give herself breathing space, and a feel of calm control, rather than rushing along.

She put all of those bits together into a fab test drive! Well done Tammy 💪💪💪

🔥⭐💪SECOND TIME TEST PASS- JUST 3 FAULTS💪⭐🔥

Well done to Reece B who passed his automatic driving test today 11th July 2026 at West Wickham Bromley, at the second attempt with only 3 driving faults.

After the first few lessons where he had to battle his way through, he then suddenly developed in confidence and ability- like a light switch going on.

From then on, most of the challenge was trying to contain his confidence, as he was happy to take on all challenges and developments in his driving.

I think we were both maybe a little overconfident with his first test, as I was so surprised when it didn't happen for him, but he put the disappointment behind him and was fortunate to get a quick test date.

He felt a lot more comfortable with this test, and got his rewards- well done Reece!

“My friend, who had recently passed her driving test, recommended Matt Shurmer Driving School to me. I was looking for an instructor who could help me overcome my nerves around driving. After doing my own research as well, I saw that Matt came highly recommended by the local community.

I’ve genuinely enjoyed learning with Matt. From my very first lesson, he made me believe that I could do it and helped calm my nerves. His teaching techniques made even the trickiest manoeuvres feel easy, especially parallel parking, which somehow seemed to work perfectly every time!

Matt was always punctual, reliable, and incredibly dedicated. Even when he wasn’t feeling his best once, he still turned up for my lessons because my driving test was approaching. That really showed how committed he is to his students.

Learning to drive has definitely been a journey for me, and I couldn’t have asked for a better instructor. Matt is truly an expert at helping his students pass first time. Huge congratulations to Anna W of Orpington who passed her automatic driving test today 25th June 2026 FIRST TIME!

I am so pleased for you Anna because you had to work so hard to get your driving skills high enough to pass the driving test.

Anna was always super smiley during each lesson, and always worked hard between lessons writing notes on what we had covered, and what she needed to remember.

The mock tests worked really well for Anna, as she could really identify the areas she needed to improve on, and with each one she got stronger and stronger 💪💪💪

It has been great fun watching you develop and improve each week, and your attitude to learning is an absolute credit to you.

💪🔥💥FIRST TIME TEST PASS- ZERO FAULTS 💥🔥💪

Congratulations to the lovely Imaan K from Orpington who completely smashed her automatic driving test today FIRST TIME (with me) with ZERO driving faults- a clean sheet!

Imaan came to me with a little bit of history after not being able to pass her driving test a few years previously. She had struggled with nerves and a lack of confidence.

Even on her first lesson though, after not having driven for 4 years, I could see a lovely little driver in there.

With every lesson that passed her confidence and ability grew, although that took a little longer to click when covering the manoeuvres.

On her last mock she told me that she was so much more able to know the mistakes that were made before I told her, whereas years ago she was pretty oblivious to them- this showed that she had a far better understanding of what she was trying to achieve than previously.

Imaan- you have been great. It has been really lovely getting to know you.

"Until this time last year, I genuinely doubted whether I would ever become a driver. I had several fears and past experiences that made the thought of driving feel overwhelming.

However, changes in my life gave me the motivation to finally give it a try. I knew I needed a calm, patient instructor with experience helping anxious learners, so I spent a lot of time researching and reading reviews. That's when I found Matt, whose excellent recommendations convinced me that he was exactly the instructor I was looking for.

From our very first contact, Matt was approachable, friendly, and reassuring. Despite his busy schedule, he managed to fit me in much sooner than expected, and before long I began my driving journey at a pace that felt comfortable and manageable.

It took around 10 months from my first lesson with Matt to the day I passed my driving test in West Wickham- on my first attempt!

Throughout that time, Matt was always understanding and supportive, especially on days when I wasn't feeling my best. He was patient when my theory test was delayed due to ongoing medical treatment and was always flexible whenever I needed to rearrange lessons or book extra sessions before my test.

Most importantly, Matt helped me build the confidence I never thought I would have behind the wheel. Thanks to his guidance and encouragement, I now know that I can do it.

Having a driving licence will make a huge difference to my life. It will save me time, give me greater independence, and mean that I no longer have to rely entirely on public transport or my husband's availability. I can now take my little one to activities in more remote locations and have the freedom to go wherever I need to, whenever I want.

I have already recommended Matt to a friend and will continue recommending him to anyone looking for automatic driving lessons in West Wickham, Bromley, especially those who may be lacking confidence or feeling hesitant about learning to drive.

Big congratulations to Maria L who passed her automatic driving test FIRST TIME today, 4th June 2026, at West Wickham, Bromley.

Maria has come an awfully long way from her early driving lessons, where she had to work so, so hard to make the car do what she wanted it to do.

Slowly, over time, her control and discipline improved, which then gave her time to develop her anticipation and planning skills.

Maria has been so consistent with her lessons, even when not feeling well, or dealing with life's rich tapestry of adventure.

I am so pleased for you Maria- you absolutely deserve this excellent pass- now to get a car!
