Another returning customer back in with this lovely BMW 640d 🔧

This one came in needing a few important jobs sorted, starting with seized rear alignment bolts. We replaced both rear top arms along with all 4 rear alignment bolts to get everything moving and adjusted correctly again.

Next up, we replaced all brake dust shields — 3 were already missing and the remaining one wasn’t far behind.

We also carried out a full brake fluid flush, something BMW recommends every 24,000 miles but is often overlooked. Regular maintenance like this is key to keeping your BMW performing at its best.

Lastly, the customer reported an occasional fumes smell inside the cabin. After carrying out a smoke test, we traced the issue to a faulty exhaust clamp — now fully repaired and sorted

Another BMW back on the road and back up to spec.

E92 in for some repairs

Firstly, the dpf was damaged significantly from catching on the ground, snapped bracket, damaged exhaust clamp and dpf cracked in two places, fumes were filling the cabin and the car was low on power. We managed to get this all welded up, and replaced the clamp and bracket.

Car was also suffering with a water damaged headlight module, this was replaced with a good second hand unit at the customers request.

E90 lci in for Rocker cover and a bad fuel leak.

This one was the handy work of another garage. Car had the rocker gasket replaced, badly, not solving the oil leak and additionally ruining the injector seats in the cylinder head and sending fumes into the cabin. Supposedly, the injector seats were previously cleaned using a screwdriver, as is clearly visible in the before photos, Pro tip: screwdriver for screwing, not cleaning.

We removed the old Rocker cover and got to cleaning up the injector seats, we subsequently ended up recutting all four as each one had sustained damage.

With the injector seats looking perfect, we fitted the new Rocker cover and refitted plenty of missing fasteners.

Next, we tackled the fuel return pipe leak, in this case, it was poor fitment and lack of fasteners, we fitted all necessary clips and voila, no leaks.

We finished off with a full health check and forwarded recommended maintenance/repairs on to the customer.

G20 320d in for engine mount replacement.

Car came in with both engine mounts completely perished, leaking oil and bottoming out, made for quite an uncomfortable drive.

2013 X5 40d in for timing chain replacement along with some preventative maintenance

This car is sub 80k miles with full service history, but over 10 years old with no record of chain replacement, due to this, a decision was made to replace chains as a preventative measure.

We removed the powertrain and replaced timing components with genuine IWIS parts, we also replaced the rocker cover due to warping resulting in oil leaks.

Next, we cleaned the intake manifold and replaced exhaust manifold gaskets.

We then reassembled the car and replaced front diff fluid along with a full coolant flush.

Another one running beautifully, and prepared for many more years of smooth motoring.

This car is one of our own stock and will be available in the next few weeks once its through its sales prep. Pm us if interested in this low mile x5

E92 330d in for major oil leak and manifold blanking

We began with addressing the oil leak, which we quickly identified as bad seals on the turbo oil return, turbo off, new pipe, new seals, turbo back on, good as new!

We then removed the intake manifold, cleaned it and done a full de-flap.

We finished off with a coolant flush and returned the car to the customer.

Another one back on the road, leak free.
