Did your bike survive the storm, or are we adding it to the casualty list?
Well, that was a bit bloody dramatic, wasn't it? 💨
Here is our list of 3 things to check on your bike after a massive storm! 🌧️🏍️
Before you jump back on your bike and pretend the weather didn't just try to relocate half of Cornwall, here's what you should check.
1️⃣ Tyres & wheels 🛞
Storms leave all sorts of crap on the roads. Check for debris, punctures and tyre damage. And don't forget your pressures!
2️⃣ Brakes 💦
Rain, grit and road muck aren't exactly your brakes' best mates. Check they're working properly before heading off, especially if your bike's been sitting outside.
3️⃣ Chain & electrics ⚡
Check your chain for rust, grit and lost lubrication. Give your lights, indicators and switches a quick test too. Water has a habit of getting where it shouldn't.
And one bonus tip? Watch out for gravel, fallen branches and flooded roads. Your bike might have survived the storm, but the roads might still be a complete shtshow.
If something doesn't look or feel right, don't chance it. Get it checked.
