📢 IMPORTANT CUSTOMER NOTICE – UPDATED PAYMENT TERMS
At The Cornish Bike Mechanic, I pride myself on providing a professional, reliable and convenient bicycle repair and servicing service to my customers.
Unfortunately, I have recently had to spend an increasing amount of time chasing outstanding invoices, with some customers failing to pay within the agreed timeframe. In one ongoing case, I am now having to pursue a local customer through the Small Claims Court to recover payment for work already completed.
As a small independent business, my time is best spent keeping your bikes safe, reliable and running smoothly, rather than chasing unpaid invoices.
With immediate effect, I am updating my Terms & Conditions regarding payment.
🔧 Payment will be due in full upon completion of the agreed work and BEFORE the bicycle is returned to the customer.
This applies to ALL work, regardless of where it takes place:
🚲 Repairs or servicing carried out at your home.
🚲 Work undertaken at your place of employment.
🚲 Bicycles collected and taken away for servicing or repairs.
🚲 Bicycles dropped off at the workshop.
Once the agreed work has been completed, payment must be made before the bicycle is handed back or returned.
I understand that the vast majority of my customers pay promptly, and I genuinely appreciate your continued support and trust in my business. This change is not intended to inconvenience those customers who already pay on time; it is a necessary measure to protect my business and ensure I can continue providing the service you expect.
