Garry's Vauxhall Insignia came along for a reverse camera installed after we had previously upgraded his HMI a little while back

While he was here he was asking about the 8" UHS Instrument cluster and decided to have one supplied and fitted while he waited

A very nice upgrade for the car, supplied and programmed including security code, vin, calibration data and DiD coding which we added all available eco and performance page options

G Force, battery voltage, oil pressure, brake/accel gauge, Speed display from navigation, drive cycle/summary page, to name a few

We can supply these plug and play for any insignia A including facelift or even the preface with an adapter for the original controls and wiring and we also do these clusters for the Astra J too

It's been an absolutely crazy few weeks for HMI upgrades, 3 of these done on Friday alone on 3 facelift insignia with the Nav900 radio

Why replace the HMI?

The newer 2.5 HMI is far superior, including original OEM Android auto and Apple car play and having a much better processing speed removing the original HMI 2 lag making for much better usability of the radio

Full OEM integrated Android auto and Apple car play as mentioned so exactly as intended by Vauxhall which is available on newer 2016+ insignia standard

A great upgrade leaving the Insignia totally factory but with a much more modern usability

UDD 4" Cluster swapped for the 8" UHS Cluster

The customer supplied the cluster, which we set about programming the security code, calibrations and DiD coding

We also added all the Performance options including oil pressure, boost, g force, brake and throttle gauge

All eco options added including drive cycle notifications too

An insanely massive upgrade for these cars adding full colour 8" display to the instrument cluster, choice of VXR, OPC themes or standard. All sports instruments and available eco options are activated with every purchase

We supply these preprogrammed, ready to fit as well as our modules allowing the stalk controls to work with the new instrument cluster

These are available also for the petrol cars and available for VXR including Oil Temperature gauge working with our advanced modules, drop us a message if this of interest and can be discussed

CD450/CD400plus leaving us to upgrade an Astra J Elite with a very basic CD400

This unit will replace the standard CD400, adding Bluetooth for calls and music, USB and Optional DAB+ it included

Simply plug and play with no changes at all to the radio controls or display, simply fit the radio and fit the microphone, place the USB cable where you please and installation is complete

All controls working as they should including the steering controls for answering and hanging up calls too

Available for Meriva B, Astra J, Zafira C, Cascada and Insignia preface

Massive upgrade for this Insignia 2015

We replaced the HMI 2.0 for the 2.5 which upgrades the factory Nav900 to Android Auto and Apple car play, not only does it do this but also makes the system much more user friendly due to the better processing power of the newer HMI, removing the lag seen in the HMI 2.0

We also added a reverse camera to the system too

The customer also wanted to upgrade to the larger 8" UHS instrument cluster too, custom programmed with all available options added including the Sport menus

Quick software update for this 2016 Insignia

The software update is a Advanced features update which basically adds in Android Auto

This is available for Astra K and Insignia Nav900s showing only Apple Car play in the settings

This takes around 45 minutes to complete, software updated on the HMI and recalibrated with the latest calibrations

£60 for the software update on these units

A Quick Reverse Camera install on this Limited Edition Astra J GTC with Navi650 fitted

180° Camera installed, radio reprogrammed and that's all that's needed, now the camera is automatically activated when selecting reverse gear and also has moving guide lines too

We were also asked to perform a Tyre Pressure Monitoring removal aswell, quick reprogramming and all warning messages, menus and lights removed as if it was never fitted

Today we make a start on upgrading the VXR

Heated steering wheel now in, the full car has been changed to the Arden Blue stitched full leather, including door cards, gearstick and heated steering wheel too

The rear fusebox has now been swapped to the higher spec version so it supports the Infinity sound and heated steering wheel wired just as factory, Infinity sound on its way in too

Amplifier now mounted, earthed and powered, subwoofer also wired in. Now just time to run the speaker wiring and radio wiring in and then to install the flex floor and side trims and of course a Navi unit
