📖 The £10 Lesson
We had a customer come in recently. We agreed on the full scope of work for his car and locked in the price at £195. The customer was completely fine with it and agreed to everything.
Once the job was completed, we waited for him to pick up his vehicle. He came in, walked up to the counter, and casually put £185 on the table.
Our mechanic politely reminded him: "The total is £195."
The customer just shrugged and said: "Oh, come on, what's £10 anyway? It doesn't matter."
🛑 Let's pause right here...
What would your reaction be? What would you say in this situation? Would you just take the £185 and let it go?
Our mechanic held his ground and repeated: "The price is £195."
The customer got angry, stormed out without paying, and obviously didn't get his car keys back.
Fast forward to the next day—the customer returned. And here comes the real twist! 😁
Can you guess what happened next?
He walked up to the counter and put £190 on the table.
Our mechanic, calm as ever, reminded him again: "The price is £195."
Frustrated, the customer snapped, slapped the final £5 note onto the table, grabbed his keys, and drove off in a huff.
Would you have let him off with £185, or stood your ground like we did? Let us know in the comments! 👇
