We’ll have slightly reduced workshop availability as members of our team will be undertaking further Electric & Hybrid Vehicle training.
As the vehicles we work on continue to change, it’s important that our skills and knowledge stay up to date with quickly evolving vehicle technology.
Investing in training means our technicians can continue to safely diagnose, service and repair modern vehicles - whether petrol, diesel, hybrid or electric.
We’ll still be open as usual, but appointments will be a little more limited while the training takes place.

Plenty of tread doesn’t always mean a tyre is safe.
At first glance, this tyre still has a good amount of tread remaining. Look more closely though - the rubber is badly cracked and perished.

The date code helps explain why. The four-digit code 1311 means:

13 - manufactured during the 13th week
11 - manufactured in 2011

That makes this tyre more than 15 years old.

Tyres naturally deteriorate as they age, even when the vehicle covers very few miles. Exposure to sunlight, temperature changes, storage conditions and tyre pressures can also affect the rate of deterioration.

This level of cracking is a clear sign that the tyre needs replacing.

When checking your tyres, don’t just look at tread depth. Check the tread and sidewalls for cracking, splits, bulges, damage and uneven wear - and take a look at the date (DOT) code too.

If you’re unsure about the condition or age of your tyres, we’ll be happy to check them for you.
