🔧 Ford focus 2018 – Wet Belt & Engine System Overhaul (70 miles)

This 2018 focus came in at 70,000 miles for a major timing system service, and it couldn’t have arrived at a better time. The wet timing belt was in extremely poor condition—showing clear signs of degradation with teeth missing and absolutely desperate to be replaced before it caused serious internal damage how it was still running is amazing .

carried out a full wet belt replacement, cleaned down the belt drive area, The micro oil filters were replaced to restore proper lubrication flow, and we completed a full coolant flush alone with a new water pump to bring the cooling system back to optimal efficiency.

The job was finished with fresh oil, filters, and a full system check to confirm correct belt tension, oil pressure, and cooling performance.

When we first started offering wet belt replacements at A&S Tyres, we were leading the way locally. Today, more garages offer the service, but our experience goes back to when it was far less widely available.

This vehicle came in for our comprehensive wet belt replacement package.

🔧 BMW RECOVERY TO REPAIR – BACK ON THE ROAD! 🚗

This BMW arrived at A&S Tyres on the back of an AA recovery truck after suffering a crankshaft pulley failure.

Unfortunately, the damage didn’t stop at the pulley! The failure also damaged the crankcase cover and belt tensioner, leaving the vehicle needing some serious attention.

🔧 Our team got straight to work:

✅ New crankshaft pulley fitted
✅ Damaged crankcase cover replaced
✅ New belt tensioner installed
✅ Brand-new auxiliary drive belt fitted
✅ Fresh engine oil and filter service completed

A bit of MOT work on this Honda Civic today 🔧

It failed on a front tyre below the legal limit and damaged ball joint dust covers on both front lower arms.

Both arms have been replaced along with the tyre, and it’s now ready for its retest.

A few advisories to keep an eye on too, which the customer plans to get sorted throughout the year.
