Yesterday we had a 2017 Ford Focus in with us for the wet belt.

The customer wanted it done as the car has done a few miles and it was due to be replaced.

Carried Out:

Wet belt kit
Water pump
Crankshaft oil seal
Cleaned out oil pick up & Sump
Cleaned out turbo oil feed filter
Cleaned out vacuum pump filter

At Watkins Mot & Mobile Tyres Service ], we pride ourselves on top-quality repairs, honest customer service, and a clean, modern workshop equipped with the latest diagnostic tools. We are looking for a skilled, reliable Senior Mechanic to join our team and help keep our shop running smoothly.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Perform routine maintenance, servicing, and complex mechanical repairs on a variety of vehicles.
Conduct advanced diagnostic checks (Timing belts, wet belts, brakes, suspension, etc.) using modern diagnostic tools.
Troubleshoot hard-to-diagnose mechanical issues efficiently.
Inspect vehicles for safety and maintenance needs, providing accurate estimates for required work.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with safety standards.

​Mentoring junior technicians or apprentices (when needed).

What We’re Looking For:
​Experience: [5+] years of experience as a qualified mechanic/technician.

​Qualifications: Trade qualification and a Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

​Skills: Strong expertise in diagnostics, engine repair and general vehicle maintenance.

​Tools: Must have your own well-maintained set of hand tools (specialty tools provided by the shop)

​Work Ethic: Reliable, detail-oriented, strong problem-solving skills, and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Hi we have had a few phone calls this morning regarding if garage will be open tomorrow for tyres ect due to road closure with fair. We are still open and if you tell the security on the road closure they should allow you through.

Right Then Folks!!!!!...... here we have a Ford Kuga which came into us for a diagnostic plugin.

After a bit of digging, we found out that the DPF fuel vaporizer was at fault.

We tested the part with a hand-held pressure tester and found out that it was holding pressure due to the vaporizer being blocked.

After the fitment of the new part, we carried out a sensor relearn and then a DPF regeneration

Well well, not a vehicle which we see often at the garage.

But here we have a very nice looking Lamborghini Urus that came into us for 4 tyres.

We ordered the tyres in for them for delivery the next day and our team didn't mess about when it came to getting them fitted.

If you ever need a particular size tyre, then give us a call and we are guaranteed to either have it in stock or get it ordered the very next day for you.

Here we have a BMW 3 Series in for the Valvetronic Motor and Rocker Cover Gasket.

The customer's complaint was that his vehicle was running rough on idle and reduced power.

We carried out a diagnostic and sure enough, the Valvetronic Motor had an open circuit fault.

After fitting the Motor and carrying out a calibration the vehicle ran smoothly on its test drive.
