Today, another VOLKOV Motors-built 3.8L VR38 is coming together—engineered to deliver over 1,000 horsepower with the strength and reliability required for fast-road, drag or Time Attack use.
Every engine is measured, prepared and assembled in-house. Clearances, component selection and the final specification are tailored to the car, its power target and how it will actually be used.
The 3.8L VR38 engines we have developed so far are genuine multi-discipline weapons. The same proven package can survive and win through a full season of Time Attack, then go directly into quarter-mile and standing-mile competition on an unprepped runway.
A complete package designed to perform repeatedly in the real world.
Our development doesn’t stop at the workshop door. These engines have endured multiple full seasons of relentless Time Attack UK use, where sustained temperature, load and abuse test every component far beyond a single dyno run.
VOLKOV is the only 3.8L VR38 engine builder to have won both the Club 4WD and Club PRO Time Attack UK championships, while powering an R35 GTR to official lap records across the UK 🇬🇧.
The same engine platform has also delivered 8-second quarter-mile performance on unpreped road and over 220 mph across the standing mile.
