The problem with building a car for one purpose is that eventually somebody builds one that does everything better.

This 🐅 Time Attack UK championship-winning R35 GTR 🥇🏆 holds every R35 GTR lap record in its class in the UK and is currently competing in the Club Pro Championship on Yokohama AO52 road tyres.

Yet on an unprepared surface at it delivers:

Not sure how this one will go down…

I popped out at lunchtime to drop off a parcel and found a local business closed due to the weather.

Meanwhile, it’s +35°C in the workshop at VOLKOV Motors, it’s nearly 7pm, and we’re only just getting started.

No drama. No excuses. No complaints.

Just a team that loves what they do, building engines, preparing race cars, looking after customers, and getting the job done regardless of the temperature.

Business as usual. 👊

🏁 Vlog Round 2 | Time Attack UK – Donington Park 🏁🇬🇧

One week after setting the fastest speed of the day at and taking another victory on the drag strip, the VOLKOV Motors R35 GTR 🐅 faced a completely different challenge.

Round 2 of the Championship took us to Donington Park in some of the hottest conditions of the season.

31°C+ ambient temperatures. 🥵
50°C+ track temperatures. 🔥
Road registered.
Yokohama A052 road tyres.

In this vlog, we take you behind the scenes of the entire weekend – paddock life and driver feedback, to chasing lap times in conditions that pushed every component of the car to its limits.

While many cars struggled with tyre management, cooling and reliability throughout the day, the VOLKOV Motors-built GTR delivered exactly what it was designed to do.
