📸 Sunday Pics from Field of Dreams! 📸

After a very mixed day of weather at the Field of Dreams Aircooled VW Show, we thought we'd let junior photographer Katie take centre stage once again.

This morning started perfectly, with blue skies, sunshine and the unmistakable sound of air-cooled Volkswagens rolling into the show field. From our spot on the showground, we watched Beetles, Type 3s, Type 4s and Karmann Ghias filling the field in front of us, while a steady stream of Type 2s headed further into the show. It was a great sight to wake up to.

Unfortunately, the sunshine didn't stick around for long. The rain soon arrived and made itself at home for much of the day. Thankfully, there were enough breaks in the weather for Katie to head out with the camera and capture some of her favourite Volkswagens from around the show.

As always, she's come back with a cracking selection of photos that showcase the variety and character of the air-cooled scene.

Which one is your favourite? Let us know in the comments! 👇

We're spending the weekend at the Field of Dreams Aircooled VW Show Show on the Escrick Park Estate near York - and it's a first for us! 🚐🌳

The show came highly recommended, so we thought it was about time we paid a visit.

We arrived yesterday afternoon and got the club stall set up, although our corner of the showground was pretty quiet in the evening, so we left everything tucked away under cover until this morning. Since then, we've been soaking up the laid-back atmosphere that makes this show feel a little different. There's music drifting across the field from the entertainment marquee, plenty of people settling in for the day in the sunshine, and a real chilled-out vibe throughout the site.

The show arena might be a little quieter today than some of the larger events we've attended this year, but there's still plenty of interesting Volkswagens to discover. We've been out exploring the showground and the air-cooled camping area, camera in hand, and picked out a few of our favourites to share with you.

What do you think of the Field of Dreams vibe? We'd love to hear from anyone else spending the weekend here.

We're into day three at Viva Skegvegas VW Show, and while the campsites are gradually beginning to empty, the show field is still packed with incredible Volkswagens.

Today, we handed the camera over to our junior photographer, Katie, and sent her off to find her favourite vehicles from around the show, and she came back with some cracking shots! 📷

From beautifully restored classics to eye-catching custom builds, she's captured a great snapshot of the variety that makes Viva Skegvegas such a fantastic event.

Here are a few of Katie's favourites from today's show field. We think she's got a real eye for a photograph... but we'll let you be the judge of that! 👀

Which one would get your vote? Let us know in the comments. 👇

We've been out exploring the show field at the Viva Skegvegas VW Show today, and what a display it's been.

The quality and variety of Volkswagens on show is seriously impressive. From early split-window Beetles and classic buses to Karmann Ghias in coupe, cabriolet and ultra-rare Razor Edge form, there has been something special around every corner. We even spotted a couple of Trekkers, plenty of Type 3s and a sprinkling of water-cooled favourites too.

One thing that really caught our attention was the sheer number of early 1950s Barn Door buses in one place. We counted at least 11 of them, a remarkable sight for a field in rural Lincolnshire!

As for the photos... it's not often a Razor Edge Karmann Ghia photobombs a shot, usually they're the vehicle in the centre of the frame! That probably tells you all you need to know about the calibre of the cars on display this weekend.

Here are a few of our favourites from around the show field. 👀

We’re all set up and ready for a weekend at Viva Skegvegas VW Show 2026! 🚐☀️

It’s been a little while since our last visit, and it’s incredible to see how much this event has grown since the days of gathering in a Skegness car park. What started as a small VW meet has become one of the biggest Volkswagen weekends on the calendar.

This afternoon has been properly warm while we got the club stand set up, although the clouds have now rolled in and given us a welcome break from the sunshine.

We’re looking forward to seeing what the weekend has in store, catching up with familiar faces, meeting new members, and, of course, checking out plenty of fantastic Volkswagens.

If you’re heading to the show, come and say hello – you’ll find us on the club stand all weekend long!

🚗⚡ Volkswagen has unveiled the all-new ID. Cross!

The latest addition to Volkswagen's growing electric line-up is a compact SUV that aims to bring premium features, impressive range and family-friendly practicality to a more affordable price point.

With up to 427km (265 miles) of WLTP range, fast charging, clever storage solutions and technology usually reserved for more expensive models, the ID. Cross could become an important part of Volkswagen's electric future.

But the big question for VW enthusiasts is this:
Could the ID. Cross become the electric equivalent of the T-Cross and one of Volkswagen's next mainstream success stories?

Volkswagens have landed at Mighty Dub Fest!

After a festival-focused start to the weekend, today the arena has filled with an impressive variety of VWs, bringing a completely different feel to the show.

We've spent some time wandering around with the camera, admiring everything from beautifully restored classics to modern daily drivers and custom creations.

The sunshine has made a welcome appearance too, making it a perfect day to enjoy some fantastic cars and great company.

Here are a few highlights from around the arena today.

☀️🎪 One of our favourite things about any event is stumbling across the unexpected, and there have been plenty of those moments around the Mighty Dub Fest site today.

It's been a fairly gentle start to the day, but with the live music now filling the main arena, the crowds are starting to gather and the atmosphere is building nicely.

Here are a few of the quirky sights that caught our attention while out exploring this afternoon.

☀️🚐 We’ve arrived at Mighty Dub Fest! 🚐☀️

Our stall is all set up and ready for the weekend, and we’re looking forward to our first ever visit to this fantastic event at Alnwick Castle.

There’s a bit of a breeze blowing across the pastures, but it’s a beautiful day to be sat out in the sunshine, surrounded by Volkswagens and fellow enthusiasts. We’ve bagged ourselves a cracking spot in the main arena too, with a perfect view of the main stage - we’re sure that’ll keep us entertained over the next few days!

If you’re visiting Mighty Dub Fest this weekend, be sure to come and say hello. We’ve brought along plenty of club goodies and officially licensed Volkswagen merchandise, and we’d love to chat all things VW.

We’ll be sharing more photos and updates from around the show throughout the weekend, so keep an eye on our page!
