What makes a good charging stop on a long journey?

Before you travel, there are a few things worth checking:

Charging speed: know your EV’s maximum charging rate
Connector compatibility: check which connector your EV uses
Facilities: food, coffee or a break while you charge
Location: somewhere that fits your route

EV Power is home to the UK’s largest ultra-rapid charging network, giving drivers plenty of choice on longer journeys. Use the MFG Connect App to find a hub along your route and check the charging options available.

Why can two of the same EVs get different charging speeds from the same charger?

Several factors can affect this:

• Battery temperature – a cold battery may charge more slowly
• State of charge – charging typically slows as the battery gets closer to full
• Battery condition – battery age, health and usage can affect performance
• Battery management system – the vehicle adjusts charging power to help protect the battery and manage the session

So while the charger matters, the car’s battery plays a big role too.

Today, on the International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste, we’re shining a light on the resources behind the food sold at our sites.

There’s a bit of our planet in every bite. Every meal represents the land, water and energy that made it possible.

Together with Too Good To Go, we’re proud to help give surplus food a second chance instead of letting it go to waste.

Together, we’ve already helped save 1.42 million Surprise Bags, helping keep good food in circulation and making the most of the resources behind it.

Small actions add up. We’re proud to be part of a collective effort that’s helping build a more sustainable food system.
