🏁 SW MOTORSPORTS IS HIRING! 🏁

We're looking for a skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our growing workshop team in Leyland, Lancashire.

At SW Motorsports, we specialise in the manufacture and installation of custom roll cages and race car chassis preparation for all forms of motorsport – from rally and circuit cars to serious track-day machines. No two projects are the same, and you'll have the opportunity to work on everything from club-level builds to world-class competition cars.

What we're looking for:

✅ Strong MIG welding skills (essential)
✅ TIG welding experience (preferred)
✅ Aluminium welding experience (a bonus)
✅ High-quality sheet metal fabrication skills
✅ Passion for motorsport and engineering excellence

Experience fabricating and welding roll cages would be advantageous, but isn't essential if you have the right fabrication background and attitude.

Bonus skills we'd love to see:

• Press brake operation
• Laser cutting experience
• Machining experience
• CAD skills
• CNC machine operation

The ideal candidate:

You're a skilled fabricator who takes pride in your work, has an eye for detail, and genuinely enjoys motorsport. Whether it's building a World Time Attack contender or fabricating a bespoke half cage for a track-day car, you'll be excited by the challenge and committed to producing work to the highest standard.

recently dropped off his imported GR Corolla to the SW Workshop. This only means one thing. Fully build Cage with custom gussets & Fabrication!

We fully scanned the car inside and out allowing us to get a millimetre perfect 3d model for us to design the cage ensuring absolute tight fitment to the body of car which helps in rigidity and safety!!

We manufacture roll cages but can supply any type of fabrication! From full Racecar builds that need cutting of gearbox tunnels. Air jacks. Weights saving? You name it. We can do it.

We had this Audi R8 V10 in the workshop from the guys over at for a half cage install!

When Audi designed the chassis for the R8 they designed it in a way that a cage could be fitted and directly bolted in! (You can see this on our YouTube video link below) This allowed us to use the factory mounting points to ensure absolute perfect fitment, rigidity and most importantly safety!

We recently had Porsche turbo x GT2 RS build in the workshop for a half cage install!

Given the build Jamie was doing with his Porsche turbo it was only right that we finished it off with a factory spec GT2 RS cage to really solidify the characteristics of the GT2 RS. Made from T45 material it ensures the cage is lightweight and gives un-compromised safety! Looks pretty damn good if we do say so ourselves!

Austin Healey 3000 full bolt in cage!

We recently had this Austin Healey 3000 in the workshop for a bolt in full cage. We 3D scanned the inside of the car and designed the cage to fit as tight to the body of the car as possible given the tight cockpit space.

This cage was designed to be used in a racing series that the customer is partaking in this season so un compromised safety is a must!
