FN2 Box in for rebuild!

Today we had this lovely Mugen FN2 with us for gearbox related issues

Upon inspection we soon found the issue! A fractured selector fork meaning 3/4 hub and sleeve were leaving part of the synchro ring jammed in the top bearing on the countershaft and the other part floating about inside the box!

A full clean inspection and rebuild using new bearings and seals and it’s ready to install tomorrow!

What a weekend for us

We had Zac Bunnell out in the 750MC - Hot Hatch Championship on Friday and Saturday race 1 DNF race 2 last to 4th!

Phil Jordan was racing after having his car in to the workshop last Wednesday for a full setup and check over to take P2 and P1 on his first race in 12 months!

And then finally Owen Diver, Sammy Mileham and Dave Buky in Racing Hondas Championship
Sammy finally grasping his well earned P1 and P2 in race 2 and Dave P4 and P2. Unfortunately owns bad lucky hadn’t ended yet starter motor failure for qualifying and then driveshaft went in race 1 m, however every cloud has a silver lining and YES finally he finished his last race of the day 🙂

A massive congrats to everyone on your podium finishes!

MAXIMUM MOTORSPORT CONFIRMS LAUNCH OF AUDI CUP FOR 2026

Following an extensive period of consultation with competitors and key stakeholders, Maximum Motorsport is pleased to confirm the launch of a brand-new one-make series for the 2026 season – the Audi Cup.

Developed in direct response to competitor feedback, the Audi Cup will provide a dedicated, sustainable and cost-effective platform for Audi TT racing in the UK. The series has been designed to create a new home for the TT market, while delivering a competitive and professionally run series for drivers and teams.

The Audi Cup will form part of Maximum Motorsport’s expanding portfolio alongside TCR UK and the Civic Cup Official, benefiting from established infrastructure, proven event delivery and strong promotional support.

Key benefits of the Audi Cup will include:
• Live streaming coverage at every round
• Large spectator audiences as part of the BRTC race weekend package
• A stable, long-term series structure designed to support growth and continuity

Working closely with competitors and the British Automobile Racing Club, Maximum Motorsport’s objective is to build a series that is accessible, competitive and commercially viable, ensuring a strong future for Audi TT racing in the UK.
