📊 After Day 1

A spectacular opening leg here in Dunoon this evening!

Whilst we await the results to fully settle, we understand Garry Pearson/Jack Morton are in the provisional lead heading into day two, as early contenders Hugh Brunton and Rory Young both retire on the sixth test.

Keep an eye on the results for more:

Absolutely gutted to have retired the Mercury Motorsport Ltd. Fiesta Rally2 from the Jim Clark Rally on only the 3rd stage with sudden loss of coolant. A very unusual failure and in fact our first DNF for mechanical failure in 2 years of rallying this car.
A very disappointing end to the event for us after everyone’s hard work.
It was always going to be tricky running 30 sec intervals and on stage 1 we caught the car ahead with 3 miles still to go and with no opportunity to pass we had to sit behind them to the end of the stage. Struggled with the suspension set up on stage 2 so back to service, made some adjustments and the car was significantly improved as we started stage3, but it wasn’t to be.
Having been floored with a severe case of man flu 🤧 it’s just not been a good week really 😩 Hopefully we will be all repaired and match fit for the Argyll in a months time.
