Another job we did today was on a Mk4 VW Golf 4motion v6. The customer was looking to hear the v6 growl a bit more and he thought it was blowing in the mid section. We replaced the centre silencer with 2.5" stainless pipework and extended it over the front section to replace the corroded connection causing the leak. Final result is a fully sealed exhaust again with the noise he always wanted from it 😊

Here is a front pipe repair we did on a Toyota rav4 exhaust which was badly corroded over the subframe and with the customer on a budget we just replaced what needed replaced.

Another happy customer yesterday after we replaced his exhaust flexi pipe on a Peugeot 407. You can see from the photo that it is connected to the catalytic converter, because of this another garage had quoted £800 to supply and fit a new catalytic converter. We simply cut out the damaged flexi pipe and welded in a new one at a total cost of £70.

Yesterday we had a customer come to us with a BMW x3 with corroded exhaust flanges causing the car to be extremely noisy. The flanges causing the problem were between the manifold and front section. Because the exhaust is one piece after the manifold and includes catalytic converters and also catalytic converters on the manifold, other local garages had quoted well into the thousands of pounds to replace the full system. It was a simple solution for us to replace the flanges rather than the whole exhaust and the customer can now relax over the Xmas period with ££££'s in his pocket and a 2 year warranty on our repair!

Here we have a mini cooper s which had failed mot on the exhaust. The customer was quoted £750 for a replacement from other garages. Our price to build this system in stainless steel was £395, noise levels weren't any higher than the standard system and it has the added benefit of coming with a lifetime warranty. Pay once and never again with our stainless exhausts.

Here we have a dpf filter from a Peugeot 406 which was beyond the point of being able to be regenerated. The car was in constant limp mode and driving the owner nuts. We have now "sorted" this problem and the car drives like a dream with no possibility of any more dpf problems in the future.

Here at Fife Exhaust in Leven we carry out all types of exhaust work from small repairs to full replacements. We can even build you a system from scratch if a standard replacement for your car is a bit pricey!!

If you've been given a price from another garage for your exhaust please contact us first as there's a high chance we can save you money. We will only replace the parts that need replaced rather than replacing the whole exhaust - most other garages cannot offer this type of service. If your flexi pipe has failed we can usually replace this on its own rather than replacing the whole part which will usually be connected to a catalytic converter, a part you don't want to replace unless really needed.

We also offer other services such as ECU remapping and DPF work.
