Another clutch job completed in the garage!

This one was well overdue! 😬 As you can see from the photos, the clutch assembly had suffered some serious damage. The pressure plate fingers were badly damaged, the friction surfaces were heavily worn, and there were clear signs of overheating.

Compared to the new replacement, you can really see the difference! 👀

Symptoms to look out for:
⚠️ Clutch slipping or engine revs rising without acceleration
⚠️ Juddering when pulling away
⚠️ Burning smell
⚠️ Difficulty changing gears
⚠️ Unusual noises when using the clutch

Don’t ignore the warning signs, leaving clutch problems too long can lead to further damage and a bigger repair bill!

Wishing our ( young ) Ryan a very Happy Birthday today! The other Ryan is now known as “OLD” Ryan. 🤣

Ryan came to work for us almost a couple of years ago now. And from then he has worked hard and is always ready to learn.

Then came his ism’s 🤣. We can honestly say there isn’t a day goes by where he’s not making us laugh, with his random outbursts. 😅

He loves Christmas all year round too! So if you see the decorations up next week! That’s “young” Ryans doing. 🎄

Ryan and Josh are best of mates and that shines through in their work too.
We appreciate everything they offer to our business.

Does your car have a wet timing belt?

Some cars have timing belts that run in engine oil. Over time, these belts can deteriorate, potentially causing oil blockages and serious engine damage! ⚠️

Ford 1.0 EcoBoost engines are one of the best-known examples. Certain Peugeot, Citroën and Vauxhall engines also use wet belts. 🚗
