West Street Garage was established in 1989 by Duncan Bolton and Gary Stakes, specialising in servicing, MOT's diagnostics, tyres, exhausts, air conditioning and wheel alignment. The business has recently been redeveloped into a new state-of-the-art workshop including a designated MOT test bay and tyre fitting bays. The new development also includes a brand new reception area and car parking facilities.

Not every clutch failure is a worst-case scenario! 🛑🚗

If your pedal goes flat to the floor, it might just be the clutch master cylinder. The internal seals on this one gave up, meaning it couldn't push fluid to the slave cylinder. We swapped it for a fresh one and got the system bled. "Down... Up... Down... Up." 🗣️🔧

"It just needs a quick MOT mate..." 😬🚗

This Renault Clio rolled in for its MOT and it was a straight fail. We've got a terrifying timing chain rattle, the exhaust back box has completely snapped off, and to top it all off, a shattered coil spring in the arch. ❌🔧

Replacing a leaking core plug on this Land Rover V8. There is nothing quite as satisfying as seeing the difference between the blown plug and the brand new one going into the block. A few taps of the hammer and we are back in business!

Tell me you're a mechanic without telling me you're a mechanic... I'll go first: spending your day fighting with an EGR cooler. 😅🔧

This VW Transporter came in with an EGR Low Flow fault, and sure enough, the cooler was completely restricted. We are swapping it out for a new unit, but getting it back into place is always a bit of a nightmare on these compared to the older models. 🛑🚐

Watch us give this Mitsubishi Eclipse a much-needed routine service. There is nothing more satisfying than draining out that old, dark oil and pouring in the fresh stuff! We swapped the oil and filters to make sure this engine is breathing and running perfectly before resetting that service light. 🛠️🚐
