It was a great day for Riyana Sojan on Friday as she was thrilled to achieve a 🅵🅰🅽🆃🅰🆂🆃🅸🅲 🅵🅸🆁🆂🆃 🆃🅸🅼🅴 🅿🅰🆂🆂 just in time for going off to Uni.

Riyana like her sister achieved a first time pass with our lovely instructor Joe who delivers manual lessons in Harrogate and surrounding areas.

𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝘃𝘆 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻?

🌧️ Please take care when driving as there is a risk of surface water and spray.

🌧️ Don't drive through floodwater. Just 30 cm of water can float a car! Always find an alternative route.

🌧️ If you come across a closed road, please do not drive through it. The road closure is in place to keep you safe.

🌧️ Standing water can make your tyres lose grip completely, even at moderate speeds. If it happens: ease off the accelerator, don’t brake, keep the wheel steady until you feel the tyres bite again.

🌧️ Double your usual following distance - allow 4-8 seconds to be able to safely stop your vehicle but also to assist with planning ahead.

🌧️ Slow down before the water, not through it

🌧️ Use dipped headlights rather than daylight running lights or side lights so you can be seen.

After narrowly missing out a few weeks ago we are now thrilled to be offering 𝗛𝗨𝗚𝗘 𝗖𝗢𝗡𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗧𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡𝗦 to Andy Ashton as yesterday he achieved a brilliant 🆉🅴🆁🅾 🅵🅰🆄🅻🆃 🅿🅰🆂🆂! 🥳🎉🚙🚗🥳🎉🚙🚗

Andy has been taking automatic lessons, with our lovely Trainee Instructor Martin, who teaches in Leeds 7, 8, 9, 14,15, 25, & 26.

Due to Martin’s ongoing car issues with the garage (that has taken nearly a week to repair it) -Andy didn’t know until just before which car he would be using. He remained calm and just took it in his stride.

An absolutely fantastic result Andy, well done -

It’s been a stressful week for our Trainee Instructor, Martin. His car had to be transported into Renault for a recall as it needed a new fuel pump. It should have been ready this morning….but complications prevented that…..

Meanwhile Emre Ozkabaoglu was mentally preparing himself for his upcoming afternoon test. At the last moment Martin had to hire a car from Arnold Clarke - who took nearly an hour from them arriving to leaving, meaning Emre only got chance to drive to the test centre.

It did not phase Emre - he was very cool and came back with a 𝗙𝗔𝗡𝗧𝗔𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗖 𝗙𝗜𝗥𝗦𝗧 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘 𝗣𝗔𝗦𝗦 🎉🥳🚙🚗🎉🥳🚙🚗🎉🥳🚙🚗🎉🥳🚙🚗🎉🥳

We are so delighted to be offering 🅲🅾🅽🅶🆁🅰🆃🆄🅻🅰🆃🅸🅾🅽🆂 to our lovely Trainee Instructor Alison on absolutely smashing her ADI Part 2 Test, yesterday.

Alison has worked tirelessly to achieve her goals and totally deserves success. It’s been a long and frustrating waiting game with the unavailability of early test dates and the current DVSA system.

Alison is now ready to book some learners wanting manual lessons into her diary as she continues her journey. 🚗
