MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS to Ella Laverty who achieved a 🅵🅰🅽🆃🅰🆂🆃🅸🅲 🅵🅸🆁🆂🆃 🆃🅸🅼🅴 🅿🅰🆂🆂 on Monday.

Ella has been learning with Rachel who delivers manual lessons in Airedale & Wharfedale, as well as getting out for private practice with her Dad too. Her success is a result of hard work and determination.

Following Rachel’s car “dying” last week, Ella took her test in her own lovely mini. 🚗

The changes are now confirmed…… let’s hope this doesn’t cause more wasted tests and pupils trying to book when they are not ready!!!

We’re putting learners in control of their car driving test bookings 🚘

If you’ve got a booking or you’ll be looking for a test soon, make a note of these dates 📅

31 March 2026 – only 2 changes can be made to a booking

12 May 2026 – only learners are allowed to book a test and make changes

9 June 2026 – learners can move their booked test only to nearby centres

By changing who can book car and change driving tests, we’re aiming to reduce the re-selling of driving tests, giving the power back to learners 💪

West Yorkshire Police - Leeds East yesterday, ran a close pass operation in Garforth to educate road users about how much space to give cyclists 🚲

They spoke to 10+ drivers, showing them that they need to leave at least 1.5m when overtaking at 30mph and more when travelling at higher speeds.

All the instructors follow our school ethos of developing thinking and confident drivers for beyond test driving rather than focusing on “just” passing the test.
As a consequence a very high percentage (80+%) pass first time with us.

2 PDI’s reached out to Nicky Harris, our ORDIT Registered Trainer for Part 2 training to boost their confidence and give them clear, and genuine advice to help them understand the standards required, as they had confusion from other trainers. The result…..2 FANTASTIC PASSES!

John’s hard work and dedication really paid off. He stayed focused throughout his lessons and produced a confident drive when it mattered most on test day.

John had been helped throughout his journey by our lovely instructor Andy who delivers manual lessons in Honley & surrounding areas.
