So time consuming these crx arches at a full day per panel (and hours of that is checking shapes/crowns/lines and measurements against oem panels hundreds of times). Ended up enlarging the lower portion to cover the vast bulk of material down there .

On that note im reluctant to continue to offer these on a make to sale basis, I will do a limited small batch per year and that’s it (not an issue for cars on site as I can and do make everything as required)

Right I am going to officially put this up for sale. It’s a customers car and he has emigrated out of the uk permanently to Dubai. The car is located at mine and in my care currently. (This same customer I did the nut and bolt mk1 crx for)

Original early uk spec 16v crx. Had a full glass out panel off bare metal repaint around 7/8 years ago here. (I have all the pics stored) Cars just had a bare metal repaint to the bonnet and a front wing due to atheistic damage and a tiny bit of rust forming (cut out and re fabricated by me) .
Underside is original, suspension has surface rust on the arms etc but all bushes are solid etc.

Just under 70k miles.

The car was very solid in the first instance with only needing about 3 inches of rear lower outer sill and the arch rot was caught extremely early and only required the 2 rear corners cutting out and refabbing. The rest of the arches are fine and still are 7/8+ years on.

It’s very original bar the steering wheel (we have the oem wheel which can be swapped if needed) . Head unit is a vintage alpine for period looks however we installed a wireless Bluetooth amp so it will play music off your phone/I pod etc.

Original dash mat, original wing mirror covers, jdm access floor mats, pretty certain I fitted oem bass tubes to the rear too. Sunroof is a steel panel not an aftermarket fiberglass, underside seal holders were new 8 years ago. Very little if any aftermarket on this car, all Honda stuff and trims fitted.

Engine bay is original and for its age needs very little work in terms of making it mint (mainly bolts and the odd bracket)

Car had a new ignition coil and igniter unit, near full years mot at my local test station last month. Brake fluid was flushed out last week and new oil back in April.

I have the front badge to go on the bonnet.
Car does have some very small dings and small
Scratches elsewhere that you would expect 8 years on, but overall it’s very very good.

Anyho my customer would like circa £13k Ono for this. Don’t make silly offers as I won’t even reply to them. Car is available for viewing at my workshop.

There is also a -huge- pile of new in box unicorn parts that can be bought (brand new sunroof seal holders, new in box mud flaps, new in box side trims , engine bay bits , fixings and interior parts etc) they will not be cheap and will not be sold separately so don’t ask. My customers the sort of guy that will hunt and pay top dollar for new in box parts hence why he has been hoarding bits over the years. We also have a new in box hks exhaust that will be up for grabs.

Just to make it clear now the car is in my possession however any moneys will need paying directly to my customer, upon which I will release the keys (v5 is all electronic now so can be transferred in instantly) . No money is to go through me or my business as this is a private sale on behalf of my customer.

Test drives -only- on showing a full insurance certificate showing fully comp cover (your normal policy will only ever allow third party in most cases on other cars so please check) if you show up to dive this and don’t have proof I can take you out but you will -not- be driving it.

Cheers

I get asked all the time how clean an underside needs to be to epoxy and paint/underseal. This should give you an answer, at -least- this clean. Pics after the first hit, underside got hit again in a good few areas after a good check and poke around (blasting will remove a good deal of any failed underseal or seam sealer but still nice to have a poke and make sure it’s still good) plus still Some rust spotting in some pitted areas. It’s only an oem style finish underneath so I only need to remove the bad bits and not go metal stripping every last bit of oem sealer off with a wire wheel thankfully! Will get 3 coats of jotan black epoxy then 2 coats of a black thick Schultz

Fortunately the bays are never too bad in comparison. Still a pain to paint trying to get behind and around all the brackets from multiple angles lol.

Guys, I love you all I really do however if your asking for prices/estimates or panel questions please use the messenger on this page (and preferably not my what’s app/personal page messages or text/email) and unless its life or death don’t ring. I have compressors/grinders/plant running most of the day and usually miss most calls. If you’re not saved in my phone already I won’t pick up as I just assume it’s another spam/scam call which are always constant etc.

Half the messages to my personal one end up in spam or on a request and some get missed, same with email a lot get auto flagged as spam and unless I trap through 100 spam emails every day they get missed. Plus it’s a nightmare trying to remember who contacted me and by how lol. I check this page messenger pretty much every day and multiple times, and it’s very rare I miss anyone that way.

Right back to panel making and car stuffs haha, and as it’s spring a random pic of the edge of the Lincolnshire wolds a 5 min walk from my workshop (bonus being right on the edge of town)

Cheers

Panels panels everywhere, and more to come. Sorry for the delay, both Crx’s have been a complete pita getting them fully finished , mot’d and good to go. (Literally get them sorted and something else decides to let go or cause an issue)

The red 16v is provisionally sold, the was mega rusty red vt is done (before anyone asks yes it’s just the quarters and new sunroof that got paint due to the welding going way over budget) that’s now awaiting collection shortly.

Few more Panels to go and onto the dc2’s on site to get those finished. (Ones about 95% done so bonus haha)

Sorry for lack of updates, been seriously busy with cars and panels plus norovirus hampering things. Anyho got a pile of panels here that should ship end of this week or just after Easter, you will get tracking info once they are boxed and I’m about to book.

One crx is finished and awaiting collection (after deciding to suffer from dizzy failed day of the mot lol) . The other has its quarters painted and I’m just rebuilding it and doing the final jobs this week then that’s done. Only leaves me with 2 integras to finish so very close to my single car target for on site (hoping for that end of April)

Will pop up pics of both when I get an hour or so free, on the panel side I’m open again for panel orders. Still expect a wait but hopefully not a huge one like most the past year. This should smooth out to a much better 1-3 week wait time when I have only a single car on site even with lots of orders. I am however going to hold on future crx arch orders, these are going to be getting a cost adjustment and I will likely only do a single batch a year, the are proving to be a pig to make en mass and the larger panel is certainly going up in cost.

Doing all This should also free up more time to get a move on increasing the panel range (a lot more dc5 stuff, dc2 stuff and the like) also will get the crx sunroof lid/skins done in alloy this year (alloy upper grafted to a Sharpe fiberglass undertray with all the screw fittings etc) should give us all the most cost effective long term solution

Cheers all

Well finally managed the first boo-boo of the year.

I have accidentally made an extra set of dc5 panels over what’s needed (and even boxed them!) got so carried away I forgot to move an invoice over into the finished pile and made them again without realising haha 😝

So pair of rear dc5 arches and lower outer sill ends

So some lucky person can have these now, no 5-6 week wait time and can be out of here within 1/2 days notice.

First come first served. Message the page if you want them

Price is per normal. £200 per outer arch and outer sills are £40. Postage is a flat £50 to uk/ni. I can ship to the eu however postage cost will vary greatly

Cheers

Final reminder the cut off for panel orders is this sat the 31 Jan. 01 Feb onwards I won’t be taking orders until some point in March (likely the end)

Lead time is currently 6ish weeks on a set (will drop back to the usual 2-4 weeks once open again in March)

Cheers

19/01/2026

Well I was hoping panel orders would have dropped off a bit over Xmas but alas they have not. I’m going to put a pause on -all- panel orders from 01 Feb until some point towards the end of March (hopefully end of March).

So if you want to go on the panel list order before the 31 jan. next opportunity to order will be end of March onwards.

Due to sheer numbers ordered last year it’s been a constant battle to get hours in on cars on site and they have all suffered huge delays from it, plus finding the time to make panels has hampered those and the lead in time on panels have been far longer than average (usually by a good few weeks for most of you)

So panels paid for on order up until the 31st Jan I will make and add to the order list, however I will not be taking new orders Feb until the end of March subject to getting at least 3 of the 4 cars here finished and out

This should allow me to get a load of cars finished and off site and catch up with the current panel order backlog (2 Crx’s are in paint stages now and one dc2 just needs a week finishing it off so I can crack on with the other dc2 that’s been welded and epoxied in the booth) . Things should return to normal around that point as I will -only- be working on a single customers restore job at a time rarther than multiple cars which will leave me a lot more time too free up for panel making and balance the workload much better on site (hopefully I can get a full dc2 inner arch tooled up along with expanding the panel range)

Just remember there is only me, I do -everything- .panel making/welding and fab/paint/ mechanical’s/engines in/out etc etc. when you work 51 out of 52 weeks of a year it gets a little too much at times. And cars on site can easily turn in to huge jobs once they are cut into and full of past bodges and hiding a lot more hidden rot.

Love to all and thanks for understanding :)

And that me shut now until the 29th of dec.

Still have panels to ship as soon as I get back in and also to get the crx arches finished and out. (Never enough hours in the day here!)

Many thanks to all for the support as always and hope you all have a good (hopefully flu/cold free) Xmas.

Cheers,

Aaran and Beni
