I am the PROUDEST dad today 🙌🥲 My amazing daughter Lily passed her driving test first time! 🎉

Such a strong pass too, at Hinckley Test Centre, and only 4 months after turning 17!

Safe to say the pressure hits a little different when your dad’s a driving instructor 😅 but she handled it so well and absolutely smashed it 👏 I think I felt the pressure just as much waiting for her to come back…! 😅🫣

Well done Lily, I’m so unbelievably proud of you 🥰🚗👏

If you’re watching videos online to support you in your learning to drive journey, a plea from me is please check how credible the creator is. There’s a lot of misinformation out there and on a safety critical topic like learning to drive, the last thing you need is un-safe advice.

If any of my students ever want to fact check anything they’ve seen with me, they’re more than welcome to and I’ll be happy to advise 🚗

Please be careful 🙏

One learner says social media clips saved her money, but there was also misinformation online.

Wet weather driving 🌧️☔️

The weather is very changeable at the minute! Please remember in wet weather -

Stopping distances 🛑 can double in wet weather. Allow more room than you normally would.

Effective wiper blades 💧 are essential for ensuring you can clear your windscreen properly (this forms part of your MOT for this reason!). They should be replaced every 12 months - replace them if they’re not clearing rain like they used to.

Tyre tread 🛞 essential for effective grip, especially in wet weather, and must be above 1.6mm for your car to be roadworthy 📏

It’s good to get practice in a variety of weather conditions but please take extra care in the rain ☔️
