Trackrod rally 2026

A weekend to forget......

2 cars out...... no finishers this time. Huw and Joe out in there newly acquired R53, a niggling clutch issue in the lead up to the event reappeared during the first stage. Forcing the crew to limp out the stage into retirement.

Simon and Russell out in the hire mini, a monumentally huge off for the pair during the first stage meant instant retirement.
I think this brings into perspective to not overlook safety equipment, and not to scrimp in the most important areas, being personal safety equipment, and the safety equipment fitted to the car. The pair walked away without a broken bone or any serious injury thankfully. And that is the most important part of this post!
Simon's suspected broken collar bone was infact just bruising. Especially after rolling the car six times at high speed. The car is destroyed, but both occupants walked away. And were back in service saturday morning after a trip to hospital for a good check over. In my book that is a big win, as the consequences could have been very much different!
I fully believe this pays testament to the way we build a car, and the attention to detail at Jamtech.
This car is scrap, but we will be back very soon to fulfil our hire obligations!

Back on the spanners again with the Xite Mini, abit different to Mini Rally Challenge hire car!
It's been a while since the car turned a wheel, but the last 2 rounds of the FIA European Rallycross was the plan for us.
Firstly Loheac in France, what an event!
Couple of gearbox changes later, and some good setup and development work completed!
Next was a very successful test.
Then onto the season ending double header in Lousada Portugal. Showing good pace in the FIA RX1 class saw us posting times in and around the top 10.
Some unfortunate mechanical failures, due to contact meant were busy in the paddock. But managed to sort the car on every occasion.
Our weekend stopped abruptly in the quarter finals after a heavy collision with the Circuit wall. Leaving the car looking abit second hand.
But the car will be back again!

Gareth Hall stages 2026,
Huw and Jo in the car this time, for a rare mini Mini Rally Challenge tarmac event, being there local rally they wanted to support this brilliant event.
No issues all day, the pair grew in confidence on the challenging tarmac during the day. And in the end had a great day!
Next outing for this pair is the trackrod rally in Yorkshire.

Fulbeck Rally 2026,
Again both hire cars out for this,
Brendan and Emma in the Swift, enjoying a drama free day, in the pairs first outing together.
The car giving no problems in the rough and hot stages.
Steve and Andy in the mini for Steve's first rally, absolutely addicted after the first stage!
2 punctures and a missed split during the day slowed their decent progress. But didn't dampen their spirits.
And the pair will be back for more
