🔥 THURSDAY CLOSURE NOTICE 🔥

As much as our mechanics are tough, even they haven't quite mastered working in a giant metal workshop that's currently hotter than the surface of the sun.

To make sure we continue delivering the quality of work and attention to detail you expect from us, Grandstand Auto Services will be closed this Thursday due to the extreme heat. Simply put, it's too hot for our team to work safely, comfortably, and to the standards we set ourselves.

Many of our customers this week will know we've been doing our best to accommodate everyone, fitting in as many A/C re-gas appointments as possible and prioritising emergency repairs to keep people moving during this heatwave.

This isn't about jumping on the bandwagon of businesses closing because it's warm outside. It's about employee welfare. Our team spend their days working with heavy equipment, hot engines and metal surfaces in workshop temperatures that can far exceed what's being reported on the weather forecast. Their safety and wellbeing have to come first.
We appreciate your understanding and patience while we give the team a chance to stay cool and avoid melting into puddles beneath the ramps. We'll be back refreshed and ready to get stuck in as soon as temperatures become a little more sensible.

Stay cool, stay hydrated, and if your car's air conditioning is working, maybe give it a little thank you from us. 😎☀️

IMPORTANT: HOT WEATHER ARRANGEMENTS FOR NEXT WEEK

**Reduced workshop hours**

Due to the high temperatures forecast next week, we will be starting work earlier than usual and closing earlier each day.

Extreme heat can affect working conditions, and we want to ensure we continue providing the high standard of workmanship our customers expect.
If you are able to drop your vehicle off the day before your appointment, it would be a huge help and allow us to make the best use of the cooler morning hours.

A fantastic team training day today at Grandstand Auto Services! 👏

We had a bit of a role reversal....

Our workshop team spent time learning more about our front-of-house processes, while our front-of-house team got hands-on experience in the workshop to better understand the service and repair journey from start to finish. Carrying out inspections on thier own vehicles.

We then enjoyed a well-earned BBQ lunch cooked by Alex 🍔🔥 plenty of spare food so our neighbouring businesses joined us ❤️, followed by a review of the business's progress so far in 2026 and discussions around our goals for the months ahead.

The day wrapped up with an open team discussion and a well-deserved beer, reflecting on what we've achieved together and how we can continue delivering the best possible service to our customers.

A great day of learning, teamwork, and collaboration. Thanks to everyone for getting involved! 🚗🔧🍻
