Some of Warriors original hardware had been chromed over the past decades . Most were just in a dreadful state. What we sent off could have easily passed as junk . What we have received back feels like treasure. The drive shaft frames are my personal favourite.

Two years have past since we started adding new timber to Warrior. It’s an incredible feeling to see the Beken of Cowes image that we’ve been admiring for the past four years come to life before our eyes. Recently, the port holes on both the port and starboard sides have been carefully marked and cut out. We’re in the process of reinstalling warriors original oval port holes from 1934.

We have made Significant progress recently. We have varnish on all deck beams, the initiation of bulkhead construction, and the installation of plywood on the deck. A major milestone has been achieved with the structural completion of Warrior’s stern. Special commendation goes to Graeme for his meticulous work in installing each of the planks, which consist of four layers of 9mm iroko. The result is truly impressive. 🫡
