This was a few years ago and we needed to turn the boat around. The throttles or steering was not connected so this exercise was done just using the jets. Richie One Leg found an alternative use for his prosthetic leg! Between us I think we did a good job all things considered and the fact that I had never driven the boat before.

Today I am mindful of a statement our late Queen Elizabeth made a few years ago.

"Above all we must keep alive that courageous spirit of adventure that is the finest quality of youth and by youth I do not just mean those who are young in years,I mean too, all those who are young in heart no matter how old they may be."
Her Majesty The Queen.

This very much applies to myself and the crew of The Spirit of Challenge.
we all have a few years behind us but we are still living the Adventures life.
Long may it continue.

8 years ago, Alan had an impossible idea. Most people would have laughed at it. Today, he and his team have built a revolutionary superboat designed to break world records, pioneer cleaner fuel technology ,support injured veterans and run a global education programme. Now they need help to make history.
