🚗 The things some drivers will do to get past a learner driver!

I completely understand being behind a learner can sometimes be frustrating, especially if they’re driving a little slower than you’d like.

But honestly? Some of the manoeuvres I see while teaching are just unbelievable… and downright dangerous.

I had a driver overtake me on a country lane recently, take the corner far too wide, and end up in a tree! 🌳😳 All just to get past a learner.

I’ve also seen drivers mount kerbs, squeeze through tiny gaps, and make incredibly risky overtakes all to save a few seconds.

When you see an L-plate there’s a learner in that car still building their skills and confidence.

✅ Give them space
✅ Be patient
✅ Don’t pressure them
✅ Only overtake when it’s 100% safe
✅ A few seconds is NEVER worth a collision

We teach learners to make safe, confident decisions let’s give them the same courtesy you’d want for your own son, daughter, or loved one learning to drive. ❤️

Let them learn. Let them drive safely. And please… don’t end up in a tree trying to get past them! 🌳😂

Can I book a driving lesson today? 🤣

I get this message more often than you’d think.

I’d absolutely love to say yes every time, but most driving instructors aren’t sitting around waiting for the phone to ring. 🚗💨

Lessons are usually booked in advance, so if you know you want to learn, the best thing you can do is book ahead and secure your slot.

If I do get a cancellation, I’ll always try to fit someone in but don’t leave it until the day you want to drive! 😉
