This customer had his truck in for PMI, from the outside the discs had plenty left on them and likewise with the pads.

The truck made poor braking effort when put through a loaded brake test. This is to show your pads may have life left and your discs but doesn’t mean they’re serviceable. The surface on the disc as you can see is unserviceable as are the pads.

We relined the whole vehicle and after removing the callipers we noticed the sliders were seized too, this would cause uneven pad wear and in some cases a sticking calliper. Due to this we replaced all 6 slider kits.

It then went on to pass a loaded brake test with flying colours.

One of our customers required several bits adding to the trailer for health, safety and efficiency. After a long few days of measuring, cutting, fabricating, welding and painting this is some pictures from along the way and the finished product - minus a wash😁.

Earlier this week we carried out a full service to this JCB 416 HT wheel loader at the customers yard.
This included:
•Oil filter
•Fuel filter
•Fuel water separator
•Inner and outer air filters
•Cabin filter
•Hydraulic filter
•Transmission filter
•Check and top up all levels
•Grease whole machine
Within an hour or 2 the machine was back up and being put to work.

The busy period hasn’t stopped, here’s a small insight of what we’ve been up to recently.

We got a lane 1 closure due to a trailer having a blowout and the tyre debris wrapping around the drum and axle. We pulled the hub off removed debris and he was on his way.

Call out to a Liebherr grab as a hydraulic pipe burst. We removed and replaced the burst pipe

Customer came in with a serious issue, explaining his van set on fire driving down the road. After finding the cause we replaced parts needed.

Lastly a cam seal on a Vauxhall movano due to the old one leaking oil.

Nice set of SAF axle bushes we did the other day. We encountered a few problems along the way but this is notorious for the SAF axles as they’re very problematic. Never the less we worked through each issue and got it back on the road🎉
