To mark this special milestone, we're inviting owners of classic Auto-Sleepers vehicles to take part in a special anniversary photoshoot in the beautiful Cotswolds this July. It's an opportunity to showcase the vehicles, stories and memories that have helped shape the Auto-Sleepers legacy over the past six and a half decades.

🚐☕ Do You Need a Low-Wattage Kettle & Toaster for Your Caravan or Motorhome?

If you're new to caravanning, you might be surprised when you switch on the kettle... and suddenly the power cuts out! ⚡

The reason? Most household kettles and toasters use a lot of power. A standard kettle can draw up to 3000W, while many toasters use around 1200W. On a caravan pitch with a 10A or 16A electric hook-up, that can easily overload the supply and trip the electrics.

✅ Low-wattage kettles typically use 1000–1600W
✅ Low-wattage toasters usually use 700–1000W
✅ Less chance of tripping the hook-up
✅ More reliable power on site

While they may take a little longer to boil or toast, they're designed specifically for caravans and motorhomes where power is limited.

💡 Remember: it's not just one appliance that matters. Your water heater, battery charger, lights, and other devices all draw power too. When the total load exceeds your pitch's limit, the power will trip.
