Happy Halloween! Any body up for a party??

Hope you have as much fun as these two 💀🪩💀

Are you ready for Halloween?
Trick or treat buckets, sweets and chocolate treats – check ✔️
Decorations painted and candles lit? Yes!
Windows painted with a Halloween theme? Absolutely ☠️🎃

Every year I add to my collection of Halloween decorations as I love recycling and painting.

Old glass jars and bottles get painted and added to the collection then put away until the next year. Each year a new window design is painted on then peeled off when Halloween is over – doubly satisfying to do the painting and peeling 😁

What should we paint next year?

Welcome trick or treaters with a GIANT pumpkin!!

We used the pumpkin stencil from the Thorndown Peelable Glass Paint Halloween Stencil Craft Pack as a guide then painted freehand onto the window using 150ml of Ogre Orange and 40ml Goblin Green for the stalk.

Although it looked really cute with one coat, to increase the opacity we used another 150ml tin of Ogre Orange Peelable Glass Paint applying once the first coat was fully dry and bonded to the glass, using a paint brush before switching to a paint roller with a foam sleeve to give a smoother less messy finish.

A fun and welcoming scene was created with the minimum of talent and time 🎨 🎃

Any body else love Halloween? You don’t have to be an artist to have fun with painting and create some great window art!

We have minimal talent but with some paint, brushes, and a bit of silliness you can create some great window art and what better time of year to get a little silly with paint than Halloween.

We took turns standing outside the French door and painting the body frame & outline, then filled in the details after. It didn’t really need it but I had so much paint leftover that I painted on a second coat of Swan White to the bones.

It was so quick and easy to and provides the perfect scene for a Halloween party! 👻

Paint used: 150ml Thorndown Peelable Glass Paint in Swan White & 40ml Bat Black
Stencil: Bat from the Halloween Stencil Craft Pack

Turn old junk into pretty Halloween decorations with a bit of paint and some stencils.
We’re getting ready for some Halloween fun with lots of decorations like these candle holders made from old bottles and a glass jar painted using the Halloween Stencil Craft Pack.

It takes very little time, no talent and not much money to make decorations like these. Wash out old bottles and jars and use some paint and a stencil from the craft pack to decorate. The Peelable Glass Paint goes a long way and the stencils are made from a reusable durable plastic so you can use them time and time again, year after year.

And there’s a 25% discount code off the Halloween Stencil Craft Pack for our followers! Enter discount voucher code ‘spooky’ in the voucher box in your basket during the checkout process at our online shop Thorndown.co.uk and get crafty 🎨 🎃

Halloween decorations that peel away! Made a mistake or not keen on your design? Just peel away your mistakes when the paint is dry or wipe off paint when it’s still wet.

And when the party is over, just peel away the paint from your window 😁

Peelable Glass Paint is made with a 100% recycled plastics resin that gives the coating an elasticity that you can peel away.

Let your creativity flow, painting on your own design to glass surfaces or use the Halloween Stencil Craft Pack for quick and easy designs 🎃 🕷️

You can even post the paint coating back to the Thorndown paint factory for recycling.

We've had a lot of fun over the years creating decorations for Halloween and painting window displays for an extra spooky celebration.

Using old bottles, jars and plastic buckets I've made an ever-growing collection of Halloween decor for very little money using the Peelable Glass Paint Halloweeen Stencil Craft Pack.

Last year I painted a large Halloween scene on the kitchen windows creating the perfect atmosphere for a Halloween party and an alluring welcome to Trick or Treaters outside.

The Haunted House and rolling hills were painted using an extra 150ml tin of Bat Black Peelable Glass Paint and the other decorations with the Halloween Peelable Glass Paint Craft Pack stencils and paint, mixed in with a few simple freehand designs including the spider's web for the stencil spiders to descend from.

Time to get into the Halloween spirit and get a little crafty.
