We’ve been continuing the development of our BMW M2 Competition in preparation for more UK track days and an upcoming Nürburgring trip.

The suspension has undergone a significant refresh, with the AST coilovers fully rebuilt and re-valved to suit the 160kg stiffer springs. The car will then head to Joey’s Speed Shop for a track-focused geometry setup to maximise performance and balance.

The front braking system has also been comprehensively overhauled, featuring re-anodised bells, new bobbins, and BTCC-spec discs, paired with Raybestos ST45 brake pads to deliver consistent stopping power under demanding track conditions.

Following several UK track days, we’ll fine-tune the suspension setup further in preparation for the Nürburgring.

The car now sits on Pro-Track wheels fitted with fresh Yokohama AD09 tyres for road use, while a second set of Pro-Tracks equipped with full slicks is ready for track work.

With these upgrades complete, we’re looking forward to pushing the M2 Competition harder than ever and continuing its development on both road and circuit.

Thanks,

RS

We recently had this lovely Storm Grey Renault Clio 200 in the workshop for a comprehensive pre-track day preparation package.
One of the main issues with the existing setup was that the previously fitted roll cage and bucket seat side mounts significantly limited rearward seat travel. To improve driver comfort and positioning, we removed the old cage and installed a lightweight T45 SW Motorsport roll cage complete with additional gusseting for enhanced strength. We also fitted SW Motorsport side mounts to the bucket seats, which gained an impressive additional 4 inches of seat travel.
The customer was keen to retain an OEM appearance throughout the interior. As this particular cage installation would normally require the removal of the rear door cards, we carefully modified and trimmed them to allow refitting while maintaining a factory-style finish.

To complete the rear interior, a custom boot carpet has been ordered and will be fitted as soon as it arrives.
Braking performance was also addressed ahead of track use. The existing discs were showing signs of wear, so we fitted Brembo HC front discs paired with Winmax W6.0 brake pads and a new pad pin kit. At the rear, we installed Pagid solid discs with Winmax W5.0 pads.

During the brake overhaul, we found both rear calipers had seized and would not wind back correctly. As a result, we fitted a brand-new set of rear calipers and sliders to ensure reliable operation. The entire braking system was then flushed with Castrol SRF racing brake fluid for maximum performance and consistency under track conditions.

The car was already equipped with an induction kit and exhaust system but suffered from the common flat spot often found on these cars. A visit to RS Tuning in Leeds for a custom dyno calibration transformed the drivability, with the Clio producing a healthy 204bhp.
The car is now ready to hit the track. It is currently running on Cup shocks and springs, and once the owner has completed a few track days and become familiar with the setup, it will be returning to us for a set of coilovers and a track-focused geometry setup.

This also had a volantech horn panel, however the cruise control function wasn’t working , we supplied a new race type panel.

We look forward to seeing how it performs on circuit.

Thanks,
RS

Last night we attended a track day at Cadwell park for the evening session.

It was a warm one, but I managed a 1:38 lap and my personal best.

Here’s a lap in the M2.

Another nice Renault Clio 197 Clubsport-spec track car in with us.

This one came in for its timing belt replacement.

A full kit was fitted including the water pump, idlers, and tensioners, with a full coolant flush carried out at the same time.

Thanks RS

We recently had this stunning purple silk BMW M3 in the workshop getting prepared for some serious track use — and what a car it is.

To make sure it’s ready for UK track days and Nürburgring trips alike, we carried out a number of upgrades focused on braking performance and reliability.

First up, we fitted Pagid RSL29 brake pads front and rear. These are a superb fast road and endurance track compound, offering excellent consistency, pedal feel, and heat management for demanding driving conditions. The car already had braided brake lines fitted along with fresh brake fluid, so the braking setup is now perfectly suited for repeated hard use on circuit.

We also installed the Pinnacle front brake cooling kit, complete with new backing plates, ducting hoses, and air guides. Proper brake cooling is essential on track, helping to reduce brake temperatures, minimise fade, and improve overall pad and disc longevity during extended sessions.

To finish things off, we fitted an oil cooler guard to help protect the notoriously vulnerable low-mounted oil cooler on these cars — a simple but worthwhile upgrade for both road and track protection.

The purple silk paintwork looks incredible in person and really sets this M3 apart. A beautiful example that’s now properly prepared and ready to enjoy both UK circuits and Ring trips with confidence.

Thanks again for trusting us with the build.

This lovely, low-mileage standard Megane 225 Phase One came in for some love.

It was due a timing belt replacement, and once stripped down, it became apparent that it had been done previously without the correct timing tools. As it was all painted up, we found the timing to be slightly out.

A new water pump and full genuine timing kit were fitted, and the timing was set correctly.

We also fitted the upgraded metal dipstick as the original plastic one broke.

We also carried out a full service and inspection.

Additionally, the nearside window regulator had snapped, so we stripped it down and fitted a good used genuine regulator.

Thanks,
RS
