Eastbourne Tyre Company Ltd

Eastbourne Tyre Company Ltd Tyre repair/replacement, MOT, services, mechanical repairs, four wheel geometry, exhausts, batteries, alloy wheels, wheel refurbishments, motorbike fitting

Eastbourne Tyre Company was founded in 1925 by Nelson Ashby (the present owners grandfather) and moved to its current site in 1929. At this time they would re-tread tyres at the Fort road depot as well as being vulcanised repair specialists. We now offer a range of tyres and brands for a variety of vehicles using the latest fitting machines and computerised balancers which means your alloy wheels

are treated with the best possible care whilst mounting tyres. All our staff are trained by Bridgestone and authorised in the fitting of all run flat tyre systems. In addition, we offer a number of other services including: MOT testing, vehicle servicing, brakes, wheel alignment, 4 wheel geometry, exhausts, air conditioning and batteries. We also operate a 24 hour mobile tyre service for cars, vans, trucks and other commercial vehicles. For more information call 01323 720222.

Seeing the damage in the daylight really puts into perspective just how serious this was.

What could have been a devastating situation was, thankfully, a very close call. We are incredibly grateful that everyone is safe and nobody was hurt. The consequences could have been so much worse.

A massive thank you once again to East Sussex Fire & Rescue for their quick response and hard work in dealing with the fire. đźš’

Despite what’s happened, we are still here and we are still working. 💪
Our other mobile vans are out on the road as normal, keeping East and West Sussex moving and looking after our customers.

This won’t stop us.

Thank you to everyone who has checked in, sent messages and shown their support. It genuinely means a lot.

At 10:36pm on the 9th of September, one of our MTS vans was deliberately set on fire.

This isn’t just a van. It’s one of the vehicles our team uses every day to attend customers, respond to breakdowns and keep people safely on the road.

Someone has deliberately caused significant damage to our business, and we are absolutely fuming.

We’ve put together the footage and photos we have of the incident and the aftermath.

Now we need your help.

If you were in the area overnight and saw anything suspicious, saw anyone hanging around, or have CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage, please check it.

Even something that seems insignificant could help identify who was responsible.

If you have any information, please contact the police or get in touch with us directly.

We want whoever did this found and held accountable.

Please SHARE this post — especially if you’re local to Eastbourne. You never know who might recognise something or have footage that could help.

2mm vs NEW in the wet… the difference is bigger than you think.

When the roads are wet, tyre condition matters. As tread wears down, your tyres become less effective at clearing water, meaning less grip when you need it most.

Don’t wait until the rain catches you out. 🌧️🚗

You’ll never know what you’ll find on a vehicle inspection.

The customer came in for 4 tyres and a knocking sound on the near side front wheel. After the wheel came off, it was pretty obvious what was causing it!
