🔧 STADIUM GARAGE NEWS – IMPORTANT UPDATE 🔧

Stadium Garage will be CLOSED next week, Monday 14th to Friday 18th September.

I’m sure everyone will appreciate that this has been a very difficult decision for us to make, but sometimes our health simply has to come first.

My broken back is taking its time to heal. I’m still within the timescale the consultant gave me, but unfortunately it’s not happening quite as quickly as I would like!

Wednesday to Friday this week was my first attempt at being back at the garage full-time.

OMG… what an experience! 😳

If it taught me anything, it’s that I’m simply not ready to be back full-time yet.

My back definitely isn’t ready for all the trials and tribulations of running the garage, never mind carrying out MOTs as well.

Joe is also still recovering from his accident and, after spending around three weeks in hospital, he’s not ready to return to work yet either.

And John currently has a slightly different priority… he’s at the maternity ward waiting for the new arrival! 👶😀

So, with everything taken into consideration, we’ve made the difficult decision to close the garage for next week and give everybody the time they need.

Our plan is to reopen on Monday 21st September.

We’ll keep everyone updated on here as soon as we know more.

All customers who had bookings for next week have been contacted, apart from one customer whose telephone number appears to be incorrect. If you think that might be you, please get in touch.

If you leave your vehicle outside the garage for the next day or when broken down.

You must leave the key in the key drop so we can move your car.

Do Not Leave Your Vehicle Without The Key !!!!

The bar across the letter box is to stop people posting letters and blocking the Key Drop.

What caused this terrible accident ??

A 23 Yr old cars rear suspension Snapped at 70 mph causing an accident and the 2 people in the car sadly died.

3 years previously this was an advisory on its MOT

No work had been done to rectify the advisory.

Subsequent MOTs didn't see an issue.

The vehicle owner didn't address the faults highlighted on the advisory.

We don't know the history of the car
Was it a car that had been sold after the advisory had been highlighted.

Does DVLA need to change Advisories, should they be highlighted on Subsequent MOTs,
Should MOT advisories Stay on the vehicles history at every Subsequent MOT Test.

No mater what they will always try to find someone at fault,
This is what happens when advisories don't get addressed or when the next tester has to ignore any advisories and test as presented,
Is it DVLAs fault because the price for an MOT doesn't now reflect the time it takes to carry out an MOT

🚗 MOT BOOKINGS – PLEASE BOOK EARLY 🚗

Just a quick heads-up to all our customers — MOT appointments are going to be in short supply over the next few weeks.

Due to a combination of staff injuries and planned leave, we’ve had to temporarily reduce the number of MOTs we can carry out each day.

If your MOT is due soon, please check the expiry date and get booked in early. Don’t leave it until the last few days, as unfortunately we may not be able to squeeze you in at short notice.

We’ll continue doing everything we can to look after everyone, but please bear with us while we’re a little short staffed.
