Only one in the country to be converted into a camper and not just any camper box on the back, I’ve fit a train carrage on to fit out!!

Corbridge Steam Fair 2026 🚂🚛

What a fantastic weekend at Corbridge Steam Fair! It’s been years since I last attended a steam fair, and I couldn’t have asked for a better one to get back into it.

I had the Monster Hut truck on display and was blown away by the turnout. It was great meeting so many people, chatting about the truck, hearing everyone’s stories, and catching up with fellow enthusiasts. Thank you to everyone who stopped by for a look and a conversation.

There was an incredible variety of vehicles on show, from beautifully restored steam engines and vintage machinery to classic trucks and military vehicles. Everywhere you looked there was something interesting to see.

Corbridge itself is a beautiful village near Hexham, and it provided the perfect backdrop for such a well-organised event. The atmosphere throughout the weekend was brilliant, with plenty of families, enthusiasts, and exhibitors all enjoying the sunshine and the displays.

A big thank you to the organisers, volunteers, exhibitors, and everyone who came along. We had a fantastic time and are already looking forward to the next one!

When I started building Monster Hut Camper, I never imagined so many people would follow the journey.

Thank you to every single one of you who has liked, shared, commented, and followed along as this ex-military truck is transformed into an expedition camper.

Stumbled across this old vid of me at the adventure overland show back in June 2022. This was the first time I’d seen a foden recovery 6x6 up close and the first time I’d ever sat in one! I loved it and could only dream at the thought of ever owning one to turn into a crazy camper. Never did I ever think I’d be lucky enough to own one. Now 4 years later I’m on the road in my own crazy converted foden 6x6 with a train car bolted to the back!!

Helped Jimmy out last night with a little problem on his motorhome. He’s added a storage box on the back and mounted it on top of an existing bike rack and the extra weight was causing the back wall the bulge out and there was a real risk of it ripping the 25mm composite wall panel out!

We removed the fridge and cooker to get to the existing brackets and replaced with something a little more robust.

Tested it and it’s solid now! Just in time for his trip away round wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 and Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
