MOT myth buster # 1

Is there a grace period for getting an MOT done? 🚗

No. There’s no grace period once your MOT expires.

You cannot drive or park your vehicle on the road without a valid MOT, unless an exemption applies.

You can drive without a current MOT if you're travelling to a pre-arranged MOT test, or in certain circumstances to or from somewhere to have repairs carried out. Your vehicle must still be roadworthy.

Crewe ➡️ Dover ➡️ France ➡️ £4,103 for NWAA! 🚗💙🚁

Four teams from Cheshire took on the Grand Tour French Banger Rally 2026, setting off from Crewe and heading via Dover before crossing into France and taking on hundreds of miles of French roads in their fleet of ageing cars.

Their tour took them through Le Mans, the Bordeaux w**e region and Reims before they made their way home, all while raising an incredible £4,103.43 for North West Air Ambulance Charity!

And they didn’t just reach their destination… they exceeded their fundraising target too! 🙌

Their fantastic fundraising will help support our lifesaving crews as they bring advanced critical care to patients across the North West, including those in some of the hardest-to-reach places.

A huge thank you to Dave, Jason, Trev, Simon, Andy, Ryan and Geordie, as well as everyone who donated, supported the teams and helped make their adventure count 💙

Remember our charity fundraiser in 2024… when we raised £2,827 for Guide Dogs Uk and we had the honour of naming our very own Guide Dog Puppy… Dolly 🦮

We are delighted to announce that Dolly has qualified as a guide dog!
We are incredibly proud of Dolly as she has worked so hard to learn the skills, she needed to take on this very special role.

There have been a lot of people involved in Dolly’s journey with Guide Dogs, and we wish to thank everyone who has helped to make this incredible partnership happen.
Dolly can focus on being the life changer she was born to be.
