🚐🔑 FORD TRANSIT – ALL KEYS LOST? WE DO MORE THAN JUST PROGRAM KEYS!

Another interesting challenge completed by Locksmith Kev – Kev’s Car Keys, Cramlington! 💪

A trade customer recently purchased this 2017 Ford Transit at auction with no working keys.

What initially appeared to be a broken key stuck in the ignition turned out to be an incorrect key blade. Further investigation revealed the ignition barrel wasn’t operating correctly either.

🔧 TIME FOR SOME PROPER LOCKSMITHING!

Rather than simply replacing the ignition with a different set of keys, we got to work!

✅ Carefully removed the incorrect key blade.

✅ Decoded the original door lock to establish the correct key combination.

✅ Rebuilt a genuine Ford ignition barrel to match the existing door locks.

✅ Cut a new genuine Ford key.

✅ Successfully programmed the key to the vehicle’s immobiliser system.

Today’s challenge took us to Walker, Newcastle, where a Ford Transit Custom was going nowhere!

With all keys lost and ignition problems to overcome, this wasn’t going to be a straightforward replacement key job.

ANOTHER LOCKOUT WITH A TWIST! 🚐🔑

This morning took us to South Shields, where a customer had managed to lock their keys in the rear of their van.

Unfortunately, things weren’t straightforward!

❌ No working door locks
❌ Central locking not operating
❌ Keys trapped in the rear

Sometimes being a locksmith isn’t just about having the right tools. It’s about experience, problem-solving and knowing when to call on friends in the trade.

A little creativity, some shared knowledge and plenty of determination later…
