Administrator - Part time to work on our front desk - experience preferred but not essential as full training will be given - the role would also suit an APPRENTICE in a full time role

Wheel Technician / Powder Coater -FULL TIME experience preferred in a motor trade role but not essential as full training will be given

Spray Painter / Panel Be**er -FULL TIME - MUST have experience in a similar role

APPRENTICE bodyshop tecnica (panel be**er / spray painter) FULL TIME in conjunction with Gateshead college

Due to staff shortage we will be having a short 3 day summer shutdown from Wednesday 10th of August.

Just another quick update with regards to our planned return to work.
We have been in talks all week and have mapped out a staggered return which will begin with the bookings and enquiries side of the business being opened first, two weeks ahead of the workshop. Bookings can be made via phone, email and messenger. The lines are open from 9am this Tuesday morning and we will be filling slots for the week commencing Monday 01st June onwards.
We look forward to seeing you all back again and will be doing our best to keep you all safe.

WE'RE RETURNING TO WORK VERY SOON!

Our directors are currently in risk assessment talks and discussing strategy in moving forward.
We will be updating the page to keep customers informed on the latest info of when we're back and how to make bookings.
We will also be keeping you informed of the measures which will be in place to keep our customers and staff safe with regards to distancing and cleanliness.
Watch this space, this is a week of change.
Dates etc will be announced later this week but we are aiming for a staggered return hopefully starting on the 18th (next Monday) but this all needs fine tuning as this is obviously not going to be the same working environment we left behind in March.

We very much look forward to seeing you all again and hope you have all been safe throughout these times of uncertainty.

Just another update to let you know that despite still being closed due to covid-19 lockdown guidance we are still updating our page and you can find out the latest info on when we will re-open by checking here.

What we can do for now though is point you in the direction of the Gov.uk pages outlining MOT advice for cars due during the closure time, they are offering extension time on your current MOT.

We hope this info is of some use to you, but would obviously recommend booking in for inspection as soon as possible once we re-open to ensure your vehicle is in a safe and roadworthy condition.

Your car, van or motorcycle’s MOT expiry date will be extended by 6 months if it’s due on or after 30 March 2020 - but you must keep your vehicle safe to drive.

Another day, another update... and despite yesterdays seemingly positive status, today's outlook is not so great.

After taking last nights Prime ministers address to the nation into careful consideration we held a meeting this morning and we have taken the responsible approach to close the business unitl further notice.
This is not something we really want to do but we have obviously had to take into account the safety and well being of our staff, our customers, ourselves and our families.

The people of this country are all in the same boat and this thing will not stop spreading unless we all do our part and stay home.

This is obviously not a decision we have taken lightly, despite being established for over 5 years now we are still a small business with large overheads and this will hit us hard, even on lockdown we still have running costs ongoing.

We will keep this page updated as to when the doors will re-open and we hope for your continued support once all of this is done and dusted.

All cars currently in our care will either be dealt with if urgent or returned to customers over the next couple of days.

We wish all of our customers and their loved ones the best through this.

Just to put everybody in the picture as to the current situation here at Cramlington MOT & Service Centre, we are still trading for now and still honouring bookings until further notice is given.
We are however operating under a locked office door policy and as such do not currently have any customer waiting area available.
All cars are to be dropped off and left with us until work is carried out.
Knock on the office door when dropping cars off and a member of staff will collect and disinfect car keys from a safe distance.
Cars will be disinfected before and after work.
payment over phone is preferred prior to collection.
All members of staff are wearing and regularly changing gloves and ppe to minimise risk to themselves and customers.

We appologise for any inconvenience caused but the reasons behind this are obviously apparent.

Merry Xmas to all of our customers!

Just a reminder to all that we are closed over the festive period and will be open for business as usual on Wednesday the 2nd January.
Our guys have put in a sterling effort in 2018 and we thought a festive break was well deserved.
We hope you are all enjoying the holiday season as much as we are, and we look forward to seeing you all in the new year.

After the amount of calls we've taken this week from people who have accidentally let their MOT lapse, we thought we would remind all of our customers to check their MOT expiry date. September is always a common month for MOT tests as it is a UK new registration month.
