Well, it’s been a productive start to the week here at The Motor Medics! 🔧💪

The engine is now back in the Vivaro and, after all the hard work, it’s running sweet as a nut! 👌

The new engine has been fully prepared, with all the auxiliary components cleaned, resealed and fitted with new gaskets before being refitted.

Another big job completed and another van back up and running! 🚐🔧

After many hours of hard work, the new engine is finally ready! 🔧

All of the auxiliary components have been thoroughly cleaned, inspected and re-sealed with new gaskets.

Everything is now ready to go for Monday morning, when we’ll be refitting the engine back into the van. 💪

Another big job, but we’re getting there! 🚐🔧

Next time you see your mechanic in the pub and he says he’s had a hard day… buy him a pint! 🍺😂

This is the mass of ancillaries that have to be removed just to get to the long engine for replacement.

And sadly, this engine’s demise was down to servicing neglect.

The oil has been left in the engine for around 35,000 miles. 😳

Regular servicing really does matter. Fresh oil and the correct service intervals can make the difference between an engine that keeps going and a very expensive repair bill!

Do you have a wet belt?

Don't leave it to late for replacement.
Unfortunately due to this oil starvation from the wetbelt degrading, it also damaged the turbo and vacuum pump.

Thankfully we got to it before it damaged the engine beyond economical repair.
