I had a Qashqai in this week after being recommended by a good customer of mine (thank you!) for a turbo replacement.
As always, when we get stuff in we check for why itโ€™s broke and never just straight replace!

Found the DPF heavily sooted and blocked, but no fault codes ๐Ÿค”
Ended up finding the DPF pressure sensor pipework blocked up, manifold pre turbo pressure pipe work blocked up and the fuel vaporiser also sooted - not allowing correct DPF readings and regeneration, causing excess back pressure and damaging the turbo causing it to rub on the housing and make noise, this eventually wouldโ€™ve snapped and couldโ€™ve been bad news for the engine.

All rectified during replacement, DPF regeneration and pipework cleaned, customer given best advice on next steps to keep an eye out for further issues and diagnosis.

Have had plenty of clutches, cambelts, suspension works, services, MOTโ€™s and brakes through the workshop.
