We welcomed yet another new caravan on Friday!

The 2027 ABI Ambleside has officially arrived at Pease Bay, and we’re already looking forward to showing you around.

It’ll be ready to view early next week, so if you’ve been looking for a brand-new holiday home for your own little getaway, this one could be worth a look!

As there was no Craft Club today, one of our lovely crafters took the chance to share her skills and host a last-minute painting session with a few fellow owners!

Vivien thoroughly enjoyed hosting the group, and it looks like we may have the beginnings of a new owner activity group coming to life…

If you're like me and have been looking out to sea today wondering what on earth you're looking at… we have the answer!

One of our owners, has kindly solved the mystery, thanks Stoo!

“If anyone’s wondering what the big red contraption pottering about off Pease Bay is, it’s the Capall Mara, a 39m specialist dredging vessel.

Basically a giant floating digger. The big black spud legs drop onto the seabed to hold her in position while the excavator carries out dredging/seabed work. She sailed from Burntisland recently, so presumably doing some marine/coastal work around our patch.”

So there we have it, mystery solved!

This week’s feature is a little bit different — it’s a history special!

Many of our owners will have already seen some of the fantastic glimpses into Pease Bay’s past shared by Forbes, who has built up an incredible collection of photos of Pease Bay over the years. They’re always fascinating to look through and a great reminder of how much the area has changed.

For this week’s feature, Forbes has shared a then and now of the Magicienne shipwreck, including a clever Photoshop edit combining the two images to give us a glimpse of what it might look like today if the shipwreck had happened in more recent times.

This week's photo comes from Hazel, who captured this incredible moment as the waves crashed against the shore. The dramatic colours in the sky and the spray from the wave make for a fantastic shot.

Hazel said, "The colours were quite dramatic last night, and the photo managed to capture the spray of the wave. Not bad for a wee iPhone!!"
