😳 That’s one brake disc you definitely don’t want to see!

This Ford Transit came into the workshop with a seriously cracked brake disc. As you can see from the before photo, the crack had gone right through the disc.

New disc fitted and a much safer Transit heading back out on the road. 👍

A good reminder that brakes aren’t something to put off. If you notice grinding, vibration, unusual noises or anything just doesn’t feel right when braking, get it checked.

How Safe Are Your Tyres?

Your tyres are the only part of your vehicle in contact with the road, so keeping them in good condition is essential for your safety.

Worn tyres can lead to:

Got a Puncture? It Might Not Mean a New Tyre.

A puncture doesn't always mean your tyre needs replacing. In many cases, it can be repaired safely, but only if it meets current industry guidelines.

A puncture can usually be repaired if:
✅ It's located in the central tread area.
✅ The damage is small (typically up to 6mm in diameter).
✅ The tyre hasn't been driven while flat.
✅ There is no damage to the sidewall or internal structure.

A tyre cannot be safely repaired if:
❌ The puncture is in the shoulder or sidewall.
❌ The tyre has suffered internal damage from being driven underinflated.
❌ The damage is too large or there are multiple repairs close together.
