I’ve had Scotland on the brain lately…

There’s just something about autumn that makes me want to head north. Misty mornings, golden hills, hot coffee in the van and roads that feel a little quieter than summer.

So I’ve written a new Campfire Journal all about Scotland in September and October - why it’s such a good time to go, where to visit and a 7-day route idea for anyone who needs a little inspiration.

Need a little autumn adventure inspiration?

I’ve just shared a new journal on The Campfire all about exploring Scotland by campervan in September and October.

Think golden hills, misty mountains, quieter roads, cosy mornings with a coffee in hand and evenings wrapped in a blanket listening to the rain on the roof.

Scotland is beautiful at any time of year, but autumn really does bring something special. The roads are calmer, campsites are quieter and the scenery is just incredible.

A little behind-the-scenes thank you 🤍

During the silly season, it’s easy to share the finished bit — the campervans heading off on adventures, the welcome hampers packed, the doors opening for another trip.

But behind every Up Sticks adventure, there are people quietly helping us make it all happen.

I wasn't planning on writing this...but after this weekend away, I found myself smiling all the way home.

The beauty of a gorgeous yet simple weekend away....

A beach.

Some hot dogs.

Homemade pancakes.

The boys running barefoot.

And £17.60 worth of ice creams. 🍦😂

It reminded me that the best adventures don't always cost the most.
