We had this absolute beauty roll in for its MOT recently—a rare Ford Mustang Mach 1. You don't see these out on UK roads very often, let alone on the ramp!

🛠️ Ford Ranger Diagnostics Repair🛠️
This Ranger came in with a misfire, an ABS light glaring on the dash, a MAP sensor low voltage code, and an ABS sensor code.
Digging into the wiring looms revealed the real culprit: some local rodents decided to turn the wiring harness into a midnight snack. 🐀🔌
Repaired both damaged looms, cleared the codes, and test-drove it. Running absolutely perfect now!

🔍 The Diagnostic Long Game: Mitsubishi Edition
We love a good diagnostic puzzle, even when it plays hard to get!
Six months ago, this Mitsubishi came in with an intermittent misfire. Because it was so infrequent, we played it smart: we swapped the #3 and #4 injectors to see if the issue would track the hardware.
Fast forward to this week: the customer experienced the fault again. We pulled the codes, and guess what? The fault jumped cylinders right along with the injector.
With 100% confidence in the data, we fitted in a brand-new injector, and this Mitsubishi is officially back on the road, running smoothly.
The lesson? Sometimes good diagnostics take patience, but moving components to track a ghost code never lies.

Ford 1.0 Ecoboost Wet Belt Failure:
Ford 1.0 EcoBoost WetBelt Failure
We had this Ford Focus in the workshop recently, and it’s a textbook example of why we tell customers to look out for these! ⚠️
🛑 The Problem: The wet timing belt (cam belt) was disintegrating.
🛠 The Damage: As you can see, the oil pickup strainer is completely blocked with debris, starving the engine of oil.
💧 The Surprise: Found a severely leaking water pump on top of it all.
This combination is a ticking time bomb for your engine. The belt degrades and leaves rubber particles in your oil, clogging the system.
💡 Pro Tip: Don't ignore that cold-start rattle!

The sun is back out for this Peugeot 308 CC! ☀️🚗
We had this 308CC in with a roof fault—every cabriolet owner’s nightmare. After a diagnostic check, we found the roof cover flaps had been knocked out of alignment, preventing the mechanism from completing its cycle.
The Fix:
Careful realignment of the cover flaps.
Full lubrication of the pivot points.
System reset and cycle testing to ensure everything is 100% smooth.
The roof is now folding perfectly once again. Ready for some top-down motoring! 🕶️🙌
