⏰ Running late for work is never a good excuse for unsafe driving.
Officers stopped this VW Golf on Winterstoke Road in Bristol earlier today after it was seen undertaking multiple road users and travelling at excess speed.
The driver subsequently provided a positive roadside drugs test for cannabis and was arrested on suspicion of drug driving and driving without due care and attention. Enquiries are ongoing.
Drug driving remains a significant issue on our roads and is one of the Fatal Five behaviours most commonly linked to fatal and serious injury collisions.
If you're convicted of drug driving, you could face a driving ban, a criminal record, a substantial fine, and in some cases, imprisonment.
