Pearce Bros Autorentals Limited is a well established family own company in Bristol.

We are looking to recruit a part-time self drive assistant for our busy Yate office.

This is on a temporary basis, initially for 6 months.

The main duties include but are not limited to.

Taking bookings
Answering telephones.
Greeting customers & taking payments.
Invoice processing & filing.
Occasional vehicle driving / cleaning when necessary.

The successful candidate will be honest, self motivated, flexible, with a can do attitude & must hold a full clean driving licence.

The standard hours are Wednesday-Friday, 8am until 5.30pm with an hour for lunch.

A position has become vacant for a full time Service Receptionist at our Yate workshop. The basic hours are 9am - 6pm Monday to Friday with a 1 hour lunch break and 1 in 3 Saturdays 8am - 12pm at overtime rate.

You must have an excellent telephone manner & computer skills, experience in the automotive industry would be an advantage but not essential. You must be pro-active and take pride in what you do.

The main duties include but are not restricted to:-

Answering telephone / E-mails.
Booking of Service & Mot appointments.
Control & updating of online bookings.
Raise job sheets / Invoices / Credit Notes.
Ordering parts and other tasks requested by management.

Workshop driver / cleaner.

Part time 8am - 13.00 / Monday to Friday.

We are looking to recruit a driver / cleaner for our busy workshop. The successful candidate must be honest, principled & trustworthy and show a great deal of self motivation in the way in which the duties are conducted. The productivity of the workshop as a whole is directly affected as a consequence of this. You must hold & maintain a current full driving licence. A certain amount of flexibility will be required as you may be asked to work beyond these hours.

Duties

Security & parking of customers vehicles, sorting, supplying or enabling access to vehicles to minimise technician downtime & yard management.
Ensure that all vehicles are parked in the spaces provided making the best use of the area enabling the maximum number of vehicles are parked with maximum accessibility.
All vehicles need to be washed & vacuumed as per various service level agreements.
Collect & deliver customers vehicles. Collect & deliver vehicles for any other department that may require help.
Any other task requested by the management team for the good & benefit of the company.
Keep the workshop tidy. This includes emptying bins at least once a day. Sweeping general areas including workbays. Locking of customers vehicles parked in the yard. Tagging keys & placing on key boards.
Ensure safe working procedures are adopted in accordance with current health & safety policy.
Road testing of customers vehicles.

Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester.

Pearce Bros are currently looking for an experienced Vehicle Technician / Mot Tester to join our busy modern workshop at Avonmouth. The role will primarily be in car & light commercial mechanics.

The desired candidate will possess the experience & skills to carry out all aspects of car & commercial maintenance, diagnostics & repair.

The candidate should hold a valid class 4,5 & 7 MOT licence & have a positive approach to customer service.

We have a modern, fully equipped workshop, carrying out MOT’S, MOT repairs, servicing, diagnostics & all other mechanical repairs.

The ideal candidate will

Be experienced in commercial vehicles.
Experienced in using diagnostic equipment & fault finding.
Hold a full driving licence.
Have a positive attitude.
Have your own tools.

This is a full time position of 42.5 hours per week, plus 1 in 3 Saturdays ( 8am - 12pm based at our Yate branch) paid at an overtime rate.
