New DVSA warnings

Update FROM DVSA on the changes to the test booking service:

From 9/6/26, pupils can only move their test to one of the 3 nearest driving test centres to where their test is currently booked.

For existing bookings, this applies to wherever the test was booked @9/6/26 - not the original booking location.

For any changes made from 9/6/26, the 3 nearest centres are calculated from the booked test centre at the time of any change.

A reminder of the other changes already in place:

From 31 March 2026, learners are limited to 2 changes per booking.

From 12 May 2026, only the learner can book, change, swap or cancel their own test. It’s now against the law for anyone else to book or change a test for pupils.

Do you need to swap your test? Here’s how it’s done:

You may be able to swap your car driving test with another learner driver by phone if you both already have a test booked and want each other's test slot.
