Here at Apple County Customs, we offer micro camper base conversions, taking care of the groundwork to get your van ready for the next stage of its transformation!

So, what's included in a base conversion? 🔧

✅ Insulation – Helping to improve comfort and temperature regulation inside your van.

✅ Carpet lining – Giving the interior a smart, comforting, clean and professional finish.

✅ 12V electrical system – Providing power for your camper essentials, with options tailored to your requirements.

✅ General interior preparation – Getting the van lined, insulated and ready for the installation of your cabinets, bed and other camper furniture.

Essentially, we take your empty van and turn it into a prepared, finished shell, ready for you to add your chosen furniture and sleeping arrangements!

Whether you're planning a DIY camper build or having your furniture made elsewhere, our base conversions are a great way to get started without having to tackle all the preparation yourself.

We work with smaller vans including VW Caddys and Ford Transit Connects.

We carpet lined the rear of the van, fitted a 12mm ply floor and finished it off with a floor covering to give it a smart, practical finish.

It's amazing how much difference a few simple upgrades can make! Whether you're using your van for work, everyday use or planning a camper conversion, getting the interior sorted is a great place to start.

Another T6.1 transformed and ready for plenty of adventures! 🙌

This one came to us for a partial conversion, with a great specification including:

✅ Full-width Smart Bed Evo R rail bed
✅ Skyline pop top roof
✅ Vanshades blinds
✅ Fiamma F45S awning
✅ Full leisure electrical system
✅ Solar panel with Victron MPPT
✅ LED spot lighting throughout

The full-width rail bed gives loads of flexibility inside the van, while the pop top creates that all-important extra space when camping. Add in off-grid power, solar and the Fiamma awning and it’s now properly set up for weekends away and longer trips.

We can carry out anything from individual upgrades through to complete camper conversions, tailored around how you actually want to use your van.
